Dead Space Remake new screenshots-3

The first two hours of Dead Space Remake have been leaked online

It appears that someone has broken the review embargo for Dead Space Remake. YouTube’s “TheJSR67” has shared the following video, showcasing over two hours of gameplay footage from this upcoming horror game.

According to its description, this gameplay footage was captured on Playstation 5. It’s also available only at 720p so yeah, don’t expect much from it. Nevertheless, some Dead Space fans may find it interesting.

Dead Space Remake will be using the Frostbite Engine, and will support DLSS 2 at launch. The game will release on January 27th, and you can find here its official PC requirements. Furthermore, EA Motive claimed that the game will have Ray Tracing effects.

For what it’s worth, EA has not provided us with a review code.  As such, we won’t have a day-1 PC Performance Analysis. However, we’ve already purchased the game so expect some day-1 performance impressions.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

    1. This game really relies on it’s third person nature to indicate player status without the use of a HUD. Deadspace has no HUD. Everything you need to know is attached to the player model.

  1. Games that require aiming should be banned on consoles. It’s like watching a mentally disabled person trying to aim.
Can’t watch it without getting pi$sed.

    1. Seriously. Best example for me are the Horizon games. As someone who doesn’t use a controller unless playing an exclusive on the PlayStation (I play everything else on PC and use mouse and keyboard for everything), I find Horizon Zero Dawn is so much better on PC. Can’t wait for Forbidden West to make it to PC, I guess it will take a year or two at the least.

      1. It just takes a lot of repetition. I used to be PC exclusive for decades (with a thumb trackball instead of a mouse). I dabbled with the PS 3 (mainly rhythm games although I did play the Dead Space trilogy back then). Starting late in the PS4 cycle I finally started switching to console. For immersion, nothing beats playing on a 65″ TV from less than six feet away with headphones. And although the thumb stick precision is a$s, it just takes a few hours to compensate and get used to it.

I would pay serious $$ though if someone managed to design and release a controller that used a thumb trackball for aiming…

        1. If you’re a console guy, why are you even reading a PC gaming news site?

You can plug a PC straight into TV via HDMI, ditto for using headphones + gamepads and they’ll just work. I’m not going to try to sell PC gaming any further, just bear in mind that the end goal by AAA companies is to completely replace consoles with streaming services. 3rd world-like telecommunications infrastructure is the only thing holding back cloud gaming from going mainstream in a lot of Western countries, including the USA. PC gaming will continue to exist, if not through Windows then through Valve’s SteamOS/etc Linux.

  2. Looks good. Im more of a HL FPS person but Im thinking I better broaden my horizons if I want to play new games, quite a few newer games are 3rd person view. My gf loves the 1st Dead Space, so this will be a nice gift/surprise for her.

      1. WTF is wrong with you? Are you a contrarian for fun? Or do you just accepts everything these corpos through your way? You can’t be this fuqin densed. These are legit concerns and gripes people have. None of these changes made sense or is warranted.

      1. The changes are already well-documented, you tool. If John would get over his fear of people naming the jew and fix his crap so I can upload images, I would show all the woke “improvements” to the game. Not that it would make a difference to soychuggers like you anyway who will defend the added feminism and blackwashing.

  3. Is there no site people can upload to where videos won’t get taken down.

Because that 1 hour Forspoken leak got taken down quickly from all platforms and is now incredibly hard to find. Not that it matters, the game has now completely leaked by people having the game.

The Internet Archive does index videos but not leaks. India censored the BBC documentary about Modi by forcing Youtube and Twitter to take it down (which they did), but the Internet Archive refuses to take it down thankfully and it is wildly shared today.

    1. Well, there’s Odysee (odyseecom) but I don’t see the Forspoken video on there, and I honestly don’t even know if they bother responding to takedown requests. They have a pretty similar reporting function to YouTube though, so they probably just automate the response to reports like YouTube does.

      1. Daily motion is even not restricted actually. They are all connected YouTube, daily motion and Vimeo. I’ve watched them pull the plug on someone all at once. Just got questioning the PLANDEMIC. Funny how every single skeptism about that medical tyranny is actually correct. But they got blasted for questioning.

  4. Is there anything they change other than the woke characters and dialogues? Like is there a point to this video or article?

      1. Cowardice is what tools like you engage in. You just swallow every load shot down your throat and ask for seconds while guys like Amadeus stick their neck out to question and criticize and take grief from braindeads like you. Literally all you can do is flaccidly yell “shut uuuuuuup” because you can’t stand seeing someone that isn’t a sh*teating cuck like you.

        1. Stick their neck out? Hahahahaha. Stick it out for who? You aphid-brained degenerate. He’s really putting himself out there isn’t he, leaving comment…yeah, stick it to the man. You f king rtard.

          1. As opposed to sucking c*k like you because that’s what everyone else does. Yeah you’re a real hero, you f*king fa**ot.

          2. Aww, someone is projecting because daddy didn’t touch his peepee last night, it’s ok sweetheart. Daddy will touch you tonight, crybaby.

    1. Bro, if you think this is bad… Do NOT watch “interview with the vampire” series on Paramount+. Lord Jesus everyone is gay. When I say everyone is gay, it is a gay love letter now, apparently. Broke my heart when I clicked pay.

  5. Excited! Looks to be way more fun than Callisto Protocol but then again, this IS Dead Space that originally inspired that game. Can’t wait to max it out on my 11900k and 3090. I heard a tonne of performance issues with Callisto Protocol, hopefully this one is smooth sailing.

  6. If people aren’t excited for this, that’s fine. I’ve played the original Dead Space (and 2) so many times, I can replay them in my head from memory. They both hold up exceptionally well as games.

However… this remake looks fine. In some cases, it looks better than fine. And even though I do miss a lot of those subtle little touches the original game had, and this one doesn’t seem to replicate them in a lot of cases, the story changes/expansions are the things I’m actually, genuinely excited for.

As a series, Dead Space never lived up to its narrative potential. It started off pretty good with 1, added a whole lot of great new stuff for 2, and then completely lost the plot and pissed everything away with 3. If this remake can reignite interest in DS as a brand, I’m all here for it.

I’m cautiously optimistic for this one. If all it manages to do gameplay wise is be as good as the original, whatever. But if it can elevate the original’s story (which, as cool as the world and lore were, DS1’s story was just fine on its own [silent Isaac wasn’t the right call narratively]), I’m hoping this remake can actually get the story to match the lore and world in terms of quality.

    AND IT’S GOOD!!!

    whew… what a relief.

  7. Reading your article has greatly helped me, and I agree with you. But I still have some questions. Can you help me? I will pay attention to your answer. thank you.
