Earlier this month, we informed you about a PSX Demake of Resident Evil 4. Created by Rustic Games BR, this demake re-imagined what Resident Evil 4 could look like as a 32bit classic game. And earlier today, Rustic Games BR shared a new video, showcasing what a PSX Demake of Resident Evil 7 could look like.
Now contrary to the Resident Evil 4 PSX Demake, this new one is not available to the public. According to the team, this is a demo created in Unity Engine, and nothing more. Also, and from what we know so far, the team does not plan to release this fan project to the public. Still, we are certain that a lot of Resident Evil fans will find it cool.
Speaking of PSX Demakes, we also suggest taking a look at the following ones. As we’ve already reported, there is a Bloodborne PSX Demake (that will release on PC in January 2022). Remedy has also released an amazing PS1 demake trailer of CONTROL that you must watch. There is also a lovely 32-bit demake of The Witcher 3, as well as a PSX Demake trailer for Cyberpunk 2077.
Lastly, and as a bonus, I’ve also added below a PSX Demake of The Last of Us.
Enjoy!

So I need a video card and it’s the worst possible time to buy, I get it.
Any recommendations to upgrade beyond my R9 390x?
I do 4k gaming on a big tv. PC, Steam, and some of those “ahem free games” here and there…..
Best performance I could get out of that R9 390x on Doom 2016 at 4k was about 40fps. I tried Cyberpunk the other day and got 18fps, that game sucked anyway I was just testing the “free version” lol.
I know it aint the right time to buy what say you? Best bang per buck, gotta keep it under $1000 USD.
all prices are effed right now. if you want raytracing and dlss go nvidia, 3060ti / 3070/80 etc.
if you dont care about raytracing then 5700xt/2070 sooper / 6700xt /3070 depending on your luck.
ray tracing… so up in the air about that, mostly looks like $hit imo, but DLSS seems to be important. Thank you!
Thanks guys. I had $1k tops to spend, I found a 3060Ti for $950 delivered. There was a 3070 for $1300 and after that the prices doubled for the 3080, dang.
It pained me greatly cuz Im aware of the inflated prices but my r9 390 hasnt been the best for TV/Gaming on a 4k tv on games since Doom 2106 and it was barely cutting it on that one. This new card is going to have to last me at least 8 years to justify it lol. I could sell the R9 to help make up the loss I guess.
I was afraid I wouldnt get anything at all if I waited, lot of the vendors were showing a few in stock. A lot of those sellers look suspect.
It’s ok, like you said – Im going to watch for the drops, and I can return this card no prob if I can get one cheaper.. Amazon, lol. 😉
The 3060Ti rocks better than I thought. 114fps 4k HDR ultra high settings on both Doom games, smooth as butter. Beautiful on a 65″ QN85A. Desktop runs at 120 like glass. (I had a 75″ QN90A but traded it down to afford the video card lol)
Yeah, in the future Im gonna be embarrassed to admit I spent 950 on it. I’ll probably never bring that up. Ever lol.
I noticed prices go UP for black friday deals this time around, not down. And Best Buy has had Zero video cards in stock the past few weeks Ive checked.
Newegg wasnt all that, slightly higher than amazon actually.
What a crap time time to need a vid card.
Good idea. I got my eyes open, it’s just the timing on grabbing something. I wish I had a program that monitors the entire damned internet and alerts me when there’s a deal I want based on parameters I set. Checking the internet a few times a day hasnt been yielding the best results.
I was scared AF to buy a vid card off ebay, and Ive bought unlocked phones in the past without hesitation. You just dont know what kind of punishment theyve been through (miners mainly).
With today’s prices should come with a lifetime warranty. I feels violated, but i went to the store willingly and spread my wallet so I cant claim rape.
I ALMOST bought a PC off newegg with a 3060 ti PREBUILT for $1399, i5-something, 16GB DDR4, cant remember HD size. Maybe I dodged a bullet with that, not sure. I could have used the vid card on my main rig and all that other sh*t to upgrade my office PC which is just a Phenom Quad Gigabite 8GB AMD HD6850 build. I dunno. Had it my cart and decided not to and went with just the amazon vid card.
You know the drill. Research, procrastinate, keep searching, see only a few items in stock, think about what you normally could get for the $$$ and then pull that lever and hope for the best. Like you said, prices on everything went up and possibly going up.
What GPU did you get at Best Buy?
i knew it was gonna be sht the moment i saw the article. Why are all those demake look worse than the original game they are based on? I mean resident evil 1 looked better. This is why i hate these ugly retro graphics games visuals.
exactly they cant even do snes level pixel art quality.
Maybe because it was made by 1 youtuber and not by a corporation like… Capcom?
Its been over 20 years.
But why?
Stop using the word retro-cool, it’s weird and cringe.
