Focus Home Interactive has released a new trailer for Styx: Shards of Darkness in which we get to see Styx subvert Elven defenses in a stealthy attack that sees him using throwing daggers, knives, traps and even chandeliers to distract and kill his enemies, and steal the coveted Quartz, a source of magical power.
As a nimble Goblin, Styx’s strengths are boosted by a magical Amber flowing through his veins, allowing him a plethora of magical abilities such as amber vision, a short-lived invisibility, and even the possibility to clone himself. As well as these, Shards of Darkness introduces crafting, allowing Styx to create tools and gadgets to distract, disable, and kill his foes.
Styx: Shards of Darkness is planned for a March release.
Enjoy!

That is a good trailer.
Nice.
That reminds – I need to finish the first game before this one comes out.
Nice!
Kinda weird that they still haven’t added parallax occlusion or tesselation to the ropes though, not even for a prerendered trailer. The “rope” is literally a long, brown tube. Looks bad.
I’m more disappointed in the low res textures but still a good trailer nonetheless
Textures won’t be noticable when playing and focussing on what you have to do though, imo. But the rope will be close to the camera often and interacting with it is part of the gameplay loop so you will look at it again and again, from up close.
What a badass
