Focus Home Interactive has released a new trailer for Cyanide’s Styx: Master of Shadows that shows the main character getting killed again, and again, and again, and again. Styx: Master of Shadows is described as a challenging, skill-based infiltration game that rewards player skill, timing, and lateral path finding. The game is scheduled for an October 7th release date. Enjoy!

That’s much better because so many stealth games like Assassins Creed, the AI are so bad they can’t even tell where you have gone, even if you are right in front of the AI.
AC is not stealth.
Stealth is a strong part of the gameplay, even forced on you for missions.
Precisely, it has stealth elements but isn’t a stealth game.
It’s heavily based on stealth, it’s what assassins Creed is.
I strongly disagree. Take Hitman as an example, that’s heavily based on stealth and has action elements on it. AC is this action thing, with stealth elements going on.
Get discovered on Hitman, Thief, Splinter Cell (the first ones) you are going to have a bad time.
Get discovered on AC, wait in the middle of the circle untill every guard in the city comes to see if your blade is sharp, using their throats.
You fail missions if you don’t use stealth in AC, just like in Black Flag a lot of missions require stealth. or avoidance to combat. AC has always been about Stealth killing and being secretive.
Yeah, but they are scripted, mandatory. It’s not like I am approaching the mission that way.
That’s not to say, that the other games I’ve mentioned don’t have those (like Thief… a bloody thief, you are supposed to be sneaky), but what differs is the way and/or how and/or the freedom you have to approach the missions/objectives.
Assassins Creed is all about stealth and being part of a subversive, secretive order for it’s agenda.
Being part of the subversive, secretive order it’s just the overall setting of the game, and still doesn’t make the game be “all about stealth”. You (the character) just happen to be a “piece” or “part of the setting” of the game.
