Capcom has released a new trailer for Street Fighter V, showcasing all 16 characters that will be featured in its initial release. In addition, this trailer also features the game’s opening cinematic. Street Fighter V will be released next year and will offer cross-platform play between the PC and the PS4 version. Enjoy!

I’m not sure I like the new character designs. And that opening isn’t nearly as good as the ones from SFIV. The combat looks good as ever, the animations look even more fluid now.
it is the most fluid one and from the Beta test results it seems good enough on PC so i am gonna buy it. more importantly you can unlock future characters for free by playing the game,

i am no expert and maybe i am wrong but why is Vega named as Balrog and why is Bison named as Vega in the trailer?
also i hope the cinematic they shown is not the full version. the best cinematic they offered so far was in Street Fighter X Tekken.

yeah, I was kinda surprised too :/
1. Vega (Claw) is called Balrog in Japan.
2. Bison (Dictator) is called Vega in Japan.
3. Balrog (Boxer) is called Bison in Japan.
This always cause ambiguity in their names though we (outside Japan) always use their names like Vega for Claw but since these trailers often follow the Japan theme they use other set like Balrog for Claw.

well even if there is an English trailer i am happy that DSO used the Japanese version cause i usually play Japanese games with Japanese voices. (when SF4 came out though i couldn’t understand Japanese so i didn’t back then)

This is the initial roster so I am sure some of the legendary characters will be added later, I think they will hype them to an extent where people will actually buy them with real money rather than unlocking them by playing the game. Sagat, Juri, Cody are few of such characters… I personally want to see Guy as well.
Well they have Birdie for f’k sakes and he goes back to the original SF just like Sagat… It’s almost like Capcom is trolling fan’s with SF5….

Well I am sure Saget will be a character Unlock. I just don’t see him not being in the game.
As far as I know from my modding experience, people die to get mods for Sagat, Juri, Cody, Cammy etc so Capcom know this very well that these are fan favorites, I won’t be surprised if they make them paid DLC judging by the fact how rampant DLC and Season Passes are now.
Yeah but SF5 is not going to work like that. SF5 is old school character unlock. From playing not paying.
Well maybe they figured since they ended Saget with turning into a good guy leaving Bison, not wanting to beat the crap out of Ryu that it’s time he retired… eh eh?
As far as I remember they said some paid and some unlock-able content but I could be wrong.
I don’t think they will retire a legend like Sagat, he’s always up for a fight against Ryu just to test himself so fingers cross he will return 😀
And lets not forget that we’re missing another legend (Akuma), Necalli looks like his son lol but I want the real Akuma back as well.
I think it was you can use money to unlock or play but everybody will be able to unlock characters. But I do know Capcom stated that SF5 will only be SF5 with no further additions. like Super, Ultra ect ect. Well I gotta get some sleep laters.
Ah yes that might be it, well for me it will be unlocking via game. Hope they don’t make it too difficult xD.
