          1. Well, all these games featuring cartoony graphics being revealed in such a short amount of time, I’d argue it definitely qualifies as a fad (unlike many other things which get that moniker unfairly, I agree).

But yeah, hey, did you hear about the fad regarding the fad that did in the fad, that’s doing in fads, all while making new fads? I heard they did that because they heard we like to have fads while making fads, so we can do fads while doing fads, all while hating fads, while doing them anyway, because we like fads so much, even though we secretly hate fads.

            Or something.

            ;D

          2. But then what’s outside of that? If it’s not cartoony then it’s a realistic fad, or the gritty fad, or the brown fad, or the pixelized fad, or the stylized fad ad eternum. Everything is a fad then.
I mean, even if we treat like a fad, it’s all different genres and what not.

          3. That brown filtering stuff they were doing last gen was a nightmare, but that was due to technical limitations, wasn’t it?

I mean, even Battlefield 2 had that sh*t.

Looking more & more realistic is more like a general trend in the industry than a fad, as graphics have been improving year-over-year for decades now.

Pixelized, like Minecraft? Yeah, that was a minor fad for a bit way back when, wasn’t it? Before Minecraft faded into obscurity?

  1. They should work on the AI, rather than this weak attempt at applying lipstick on the game.

The AI players should be more interactive and more aware of the current world situation before they make certain judgement. Because I settled near AI cities is not enough justification to declare war when they dont have the army or strong finance to support a war.

Also I should be able to trade with city states for their natural resources

  2. The number of new original/interesting/useful gameplay elements is again very close to zero… the graphics overall is ify at best, and looks empty. When he was talking about the game world being alive I almost cried looking at the actual game footage. Other than this, the features regarding the leaders is the EXACT opposite direction than the one I’d like to see, meaning I want a complex game not a lovely game. It looks as if it was meant to satisfy the needs of the age 3-5.

  3. I like this: these guys working on Windows 7.
    Wonderful to see this.

If,if Vulkan will ever work with this game + Windows 7&Win 8.1, then bye bye Win 10 online services.
