GSC GameWorld has released a brand new gameplay trailer for its Unreal Engine 5-powered FPS, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. This trailer packs a number of gameplay scenes, and will give you a glimpse at the game’s graphics.
STALKER 2 aims to feature an epic, non-linear story. Furthermore, your choices will influence both short-term consequences and global outcomes. The game will take place inside the Chernobyl exclusion zone, and it will have new locations along with the old ones.
GSC GameWorld has confirmed that it will be using motion-capture for both bodies and faces, as well as photogrammetry. Additionally, the game will support mods at launch day, and will support Ray Tracing effects.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be using Unreal Engine 5 and will release in 2023.

The whole point of the game was feeling immerse and being one of many in a rough world were things moving on regardless of the player. Now with the generic COD/Metro scripted cutscenes that’s lost.

As a massive Stalker fan… This is yet another modern game going the wrong direction, though not by much, but losing its mature feel and getting dumbed down.
The zone, the atmosphere, the world itself should look and feel desaturated, messy, visually noisy in a silent wilderness, ruined, desolate, and threatening, without hearing a word from anyone.
However, the trailer shows beautiful photographic saturation wrong for the right look (art director with wrong priorities), and is centered around goddamn characters instead, with the cheapest most in-your-face clichés, and dumbest grandiose philosophical speeches and character drama.

Finally glad to see the debunked soviet scientific theory noosphere being part of the story, it was also party of the story in amc tc as the noosphere was destroyed in the dimension that the beyonders the alien bad guys of that mod come from, so they invade our universe. Diffirent game i know but still its good to know that this is part of the game story meaning it will make it more paranormal like chernobylite.
Maybe this game, atomic heart and starfiled will save gaming. Starfield because i like sci fi space stuff and modding and stalker 2 for the same reason and because i like post apocalyptic stuff, atomic heart latest gameplay looks good and with exception of some hints in atomic heart and starfieled, they dont look woke, that and turbo overkill and the upcoming doom sequel could save gaming from the absolute sht show it has been lately mainly due to incompetent woke people. Eg gotham knights. cybermess 2077 and god of soy ragnacuck. Also how could i forget saints row.
I hate to say this, but expect Starfield to be woke. They already talked about how there will be they/them pronoun options. And come on, this is another todd howard game. By now you should know better than to trust mr. sixteen-times-the-detail. Also, considering they’re still using their Creation engine (an “overhauled” version, but still Creation), you can expect this game to be their most broken and buggy title yet.
I think Stalker 2 and Atomic Heart definitely have potential though.
i bet all of the they/them stuff is notes found in dungeons that might reffer to the third person. Seriously, how many times have you been reffered by a pronoun in a bethesda game? Just to be clear i dont look at starfield as a game, i look at it more like a checkbox for a pallete for modding, same way how fallout 4 sucks but when moded it can be pretty good stalker clone. Starfield can be turned into freelancer or no mans sky. But hey you can just play spacebourne 2 i guess since its similar.

jesus dude look up spacebourne 2 trailer, its basicly a smaller more focused version of games like starfield no mans sky and star citizen and elite dangerous for sp only.
Oh it’s an actual game lol, I thought you were just making a joke. Anyway, just watched the trailer, looks okay. Seems it’s being made by only one person so it’s no surprise that it looks a little rough around the edges.
the first one was the second its unclear but mostly one person. Honestly i am with the “focus on the things that matter” on this one, it doesnt matter if graphics and animations are old if the gameplay has some complexity in it, people dont play doom new vegas and stalker for the graphics.
Yup, they did the unthinkable, they made STALKER a cinema. I thought Metro was the cinematic version of STALKER. But now Metro and STALKER became two sides of the same coin.
Huh? This has all the gameplay elements of previous STALKER games, except with a AAA budget and cutscenes.
Metro has nothing to do with STALKER besides the surface level visual similarities.
and the fact it was made by devs who left the studio and the fact it had stolen assets from stalker and the fact devs were smart and left ukraine before things went belly up.
We dont know how big the game and open world will be.
