  1. I like the Shinobi/Tenchu vibe from it, and i like the sound design and well it’s Fromsoft and judging by the videos it looks like it has a nice level design as well. oh i love the setting, hope Activision don’t F**k it up.

      1. like what? I’m not a fan of Activision and their sh**ty practices, I rather them not see a dime out of me regardless of the game. It’ll probably have lot boxes with limited time offers so that you feel left out. F that.

        1. It doesn’t have any of that. They are just publishing the game and they don’t have any saying on development, etc.

  2. It’s not the combat what i’m worried about, dark souls already a decent combat, slow but well structured, it’s the rest being garbage.

    1. I don’t know, controls? Bugs? Level design as you intend it could be some of the best, but it’s actually ok, nothing that special, making shortcuts to previous parts of the map doesn’t make level design “some of the best”. Anyway i was mostly talking about its technical level, graphics isn’t good either, menus and interface in general should be overhauled and design by someone who actually knows what he’s doing.

      1. Controls are not directly related with combat, i was talking about controls, not combat, combat is decent, not good because controls yes, but even menu controls, inventory and everything else pretty much. Regarding level design, maybe you’re right saying it’s among the best, but just because most of them are utter sh*t regard that (and not only) so yeah it could be one of the best, but it’s nothing special relatively, and no, it didn’t make me wanna explore, since every time i’ve done that i either died, or seriously risked that, and in exchange i received nothing and its clunky controls didn’t really help with exploring either. And about graphics, i suggest you go take a look at what came out in 2011, dark souls is subpar to most of action third person games.

  3. From the gameplay I’ve watched, this looks like such boring trash. I really can’t wait for this crappy hipster genre to go away. I’ma buy it, but II’ll wait until it’s 50% off or more.

You can be guaranteed I won’t do it brand new considering they have a review embargo.

  4. Yeah cause dark souls is truly terrible when it comes to combat. Let’s hope KB+M is flawless. I highly doubt it it though, it seems the Japanese can’t optimize for KB+M to save their lives. The Surge should show them how it’s done. I can’t play “Boss Battlers” with a gameplad, controllers are just way to slow and inferior to game on for me. Just my preference.
