New Rune: Ragnarok in-engine trailer released

Human Head Studios has released a brand new in-engine trailer for Rune: Ragnarok. This trailer showcases the game’s visuals, showing some of the game’s enemies, NPCs and environments.

As we’ve already stated, the game feels rough around the edges. These past few trailers showcase awkward animations and the combat mechanics – at least in the previous games – felt a bit too simplistic. Not that this is a bad thing, especially for those that just want a new Rune game, but it may quickly get repetitive.

In case you weren’t aware of, Rune: Ragnarok is the sequel to the 17-year old Rune game and is set in a dangerous universe where gods, beasts, and the last remaining humans struggle to survive. The game promises to combine brutal melee combat with rich, Norse-inspired mythology, and will feature vast and dangerous lands, will support co-op, and will allow players to collect powerful equipment and harness rune powers.

Rune: Ragnarok will come to Steam Early Access on September 19th!

  1. combat is a bit clunky i can tell but it does have big battles, dragons and giants so i’m excited.

  2. I don’t know how I entirely feel about this game right now. It looks like it could be cool, but the animations and fighting seem a bit jank-y right now. The games does have plenty of potential so hopefully it takes off.

  3. Something tells me they are not confident about this game…not a single gameplay video released until now, and the game is releasing in 3 weeks?!
