New official gameplay video released for Capcom’s Resident Evil spin-off, Project Resistance

Capcom has released a new official gameplay video for its upcoming Resident evil spin-off, Project Resistance. This video shows one full match, featuring 10 whole minutes of gameplay footage. In other words, this video will give you an idea of what you can expect from this new multiplayer title.

Project Resistance is a new 1 vs. 4 asymmetric online survival horror experience set in the world of Resident Evil. Players will unleash their inner evil as a cunning Mastermind or join the fight as one of the resourceful Survivors desperately trying to escape every obstacle the Mastermind puts in their way.

The Mastermind aims to gather valuable research data on how the subjects (Survivors) respond to fear. Moreover, the Mastermind will not face the Survivors directly. Instead, he or she will observe through the security cameras, setting traps to prevent their escape. However, the Mastermind will be able to take direct control of zombies and the Tyrant to attack Survivors.

On the other hand, Survivors will need to use their unique skills effectively to cover each other and defeat the creatures together. By completing objectives such as obtaining specific items, Survivors can advance to the next area. Survivors will successfully escape once they complete the third area in a level.

Enjoy!

    1. please, don’t be that guy, don’t ride the hate train… one bad game won’t kill Capcom after so many good games in the past years

      1. LOL. “So many” please. They caught a break with RE7, RE2 remake was only possible because a Mod Remake inspired a dev to push CAPCOM to do it AND Devil May Cry V they drop support for it so fast its not even funny.

3 Games, although decent ones and back to their old ways, not that jumping into another trend is any better.

        1. What about SF5? They turned it into a great game with a lot of free content (arcade edition was a free update). What about Monster Hunter World? It’s a very good game with lot’s of content. What about Megaman 11? Another good game true to the original formulae. You’re just being a hater.

          1. Sure i did forget Monster Hunter since i don’t care about that game, so that makes 4 game. OK 4 can count as “many” i give you that. RE5 Does not count though, since it was part of the previous wave of “WTF! are you doing CAPCOM” kind of games.

          2. But I was talking about Street Fighter 5, not RE5 lol. There’s also Megaman 11. Anyway, Capcom was trashed in the past not (only) because of bad games per see, but because of really bad monetization practices, and that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore… this new RE game may not be for everybody’s tastes, it looks like an “OK” game, and it’s not like RE3 Remake or RE8 were cancelled because of it, they were most certainly not. I’ll skip this new entry, but unless Capcom goes back to mercenary Capcom again, they’ll retain my respect.

    2. Maybe so.

Albeit they’ve some way to go before rivalling Konami in that respect after they ruined Metal Gear and also now Contra.

  1. It’s like they outsourced some low wage company and then constricted their already creatively bankrupt ideas by adding tons of bloat and poorly baked mechanics.
This could have been a good game and you can see something like the Zombie Master mode for Half Life 2 as proof of that, but and they completely killed it, this is DOA.
