Bloober Team is currently working on a new Layers of Fear game and has released its first in-engine teaser trailer. Although we don’t know much, this new Layers of Fear game will be using Unreal Engine 5. You can watch teaser trailer, provided by IGN, below. Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Oh no…
Yesterday they signed deal with T2, and claimed that they want to be “Leader of Horror Games” and now they are releasing teaser of another walking simulator.
exactly meanwhile them and us a resident evil clone taking place in a mansion with both fixed camera and third person perspective and a fps dlc has come out, it even has a sexy costume pack dlc. John should cover that instead.
Also tormented souls came out a while ago, that is good too.
FFS didn’t hear about those two games. Where do you get your PC gaming news durka? DSOG is clearly not covering everything and it pains me. But I can’t stomach big gaming sites plz enlighten me
i am subbed to a bunch of youtubers that play new games just gameplay no commentary and i check the new releases on steam.
Big meh!
Their games are adaptations of books or movies, lol
Blair witch the worst game ever made was… The others arent
It’s insane how easily these P.T. & FNAF kids will eat up all of this rushed horror garbage… especially from Bloober. They should have liquidated themselves long time ago or worked on something worthwhile. Founded in 2008 and still blatantly ripping off the generic silent hill franchise (first few SH games were ok).
At least P.T and FNAF had puzzles or gameplay. Layers 1 & 2 were walking Sims. Observer was a mystery that solved itself and Blair witch… Omfg what a bad game. It has “combat” in the sense that you shine a light on some garbage moving through the woods.
They are a horrible team
That’s in engine but there’s no chance in hell the game will look that good. That was rendered offline frame by frame.
Besides layers of fear wasn’t scary.. none of their games have been and most of their games run horribly.
Perhaps finally ditching unity for UE will help performance but it certainly won’t make them better at horror. Omg things moved! Omg another jump scare! Omg stuff is floating!
See their big issue is they don’t really provide context and good horror needs context. Their other issue is all they know how to do is jump scares and things flying across rooms. There is never any danger except in Blair witch which is one of the worst games I’ve ever played.
Shame really. People’s standard’s for good horror games has gotten so low because there have been about 8 million indie horror games in the last decade.
You think that’s bad? The observer would run at single digits in allot of areas if motion blur was set to high because of a typo in the sample count and they never fixed it.
Turning it down to medium made the game suddenly run at 90 fps at 4k with no loss in motion blur quality.
How they missed that in QA is beyond me because it happens in the first 15 min of the game!
A typo! They probably wanted 32 samples and accidentally did 320.
