New gameplay trailers released for Shadow Warrior 3 & ELEX II

THQ Nordic has released a brand new trailer for ELEX II that explains its story and its gameplay mechanics. Moreover, PlayStation released a gameplay trailer for Shadow Warrior 3, featuring the Dragon’s Nest mission from it.

Since the Shadow Warrior 3 trailer features 9 minutes of gameplay from one of the game’s mission, I suggest skipping it. That is of course in case you want to experience the game (and that mission) yourselves. Otherwise, you can at least take a look and see whether it interests you.

On the other hand, the Deep Dive Gameplay trailer for ELEX II is a must for all those interested in this upcoming RPG. Not only does it show a lot of gameplay footage, but it also explains numerous gameplay features.

Both ELEX II and Shadow Warrior 3 will release on March 1st. Devolver and THQ Nordic have already provided us with a review code for both of them.

Enjoy!

  1. After playing horizon forbidden west, I don’t know how I feel about this one. PB is still one of my favorite devs out there but damn they need to step up their game.

    1. after playing the first game that was so booooring that i never finished with awful rating and combat, i am not interested in playing a sequel that looks exactly the same.

      1. I never played the first one, looked like a generic open world game with shetty gameplay and uninteresting enemy design (I fcking hate robots, they’re more boring than zombies). I bought the new one for graphics and the world design is very immersive.

      1. Yes but the world design is very dull and they used to be an expert at this. Gothic 2 was incredibly immersive and gothic 3 looked fantastic for its time.

        1. Yeah that’s true. None of the people that worked on the original Gothic games are still around. I think only Pankratz remains from the old days, but he was only tester IIRC.

  2. Is Hoji still cast for Alex Dobrenko? Looks like they’ve screwed over Eugene Lee by casting SungWon Cho for Zilla, not to mention Jason Liebrecht is MIA for Lo Wang.

    1. I mean how hard is it to make a good-looking gameplay mechanic driven threequel to 2013 Shadow Warrior? First they made a 2016 looter shooter sequel for some reason when the 2013 reboot had none of this crap. And now this sh*te?

Hard Reset despite having sweful movement and being quite boring was better than SW2 and SW3.

  3. Still can’t believe they’ve changed the VA on Shadow Warrior. The developers don’t understand what the game was meant to be.

  4. Unpopular opinion : Elex will never be a classic.

It’s already forgotten, and I bet it’ll be the same for the sequel.
Even if the gameplay had some solid elements, it had the most boring story ever made, and the weird mix of fantasy and sci-fi/whatever they were trying to do simply didn’t work.
Finally, none of the places, characters, lore in general were memorable, and everything looked bland. The whole thing had no soul whatsoever.

What a sad time to see that they insist on working on this franchise, instead of going back to Gothic or Risen.

On the other hand, I agree with comments about SW3.
This looks like absolute pathetic arcadey garbage.
Now would be a good time to use the “look how they massacred my boy” meme.

    1. I think true gamers will see it as a classic. Of course it will never be a classic among casuals. The combat is too s##t for a casual to sit and play through. It’s a classic and golden game to me tho.

    2. How was the story here any less interesting as any other PB game which are all just rehashes of each other. Same can be said of every Daggerfall game. If anything I found the change in setting and addition of sci fi elements one of the best decisions they could have made.

90% of games listed here will never be considered a “classic” so not sure how that is some hot take.

Your critique is more predictable and boring than Elex story line. Simply replace Elex with Gothic 2, Gothic 3, Risen, Risen 2 in your post and you have every tiresome generic complaint about every PB release.
