New gameplay teaser trailer released for the upcoming Dino Crisis Unreal Engine 4 fan remake

Team Arklay has just released a new gameplay teaser trailer for its upcoming Unreal Engine 4 Fan Remake of Capcom’s dino game, Dino Crisis. From the looks of it, Team Arklay is making this Dino Crisis Remake from scratch. And, for a fan-made game, this unofficial remake looks cool.

This gameplay teaser trailer shows Regina exploring an environment and killing a raptor. Now I strongly suggest tempering your expectations. As you will find out, this is a really rough gameplay trailer. And again, keep in mind that this comes from a small indie team.

Team Arklay has not revealed yet whether it plans to release a public tech demo of this Dino Crisis Remake. However, the good news here is that Capcom has not send them any C&D letter. At least not yet.

This Dino Crisis Remake in Unreal Engine 4 has been in development since July 2019.  So yeah, don’t expect to be playing this fan game anytime soon. Still, it’s awesome witnessing the effort and dedication of this team for a new Dino Crisis game.

Until this remake comes out, PC gamers can at least replay the original game with Dino Crisis Rebirth. Dino Crisis Classic REbirth is an unofficial patch that makes the original game work on modern-day PC systems.

Enjoy!

    1. It looks so utterly horrible that they probably can’t even take it seriously.

This might just be the worst UE4 asset flip I’ve seen.

  1. I don’t want to be negative but this project and many others like that are a waste of time. You just can’t remake a game with 2-3 people doing it for free. In the end CAPCOM will take it down and you just lost 3-5 months of your life.

    1. Capcom actually allowed Resident Evil 4 HD remake to happen, they have free reign over the game so why don’t you just lurk more boyo

  2. What’s wrong with people being honest? everything is toxic for some people…what a bunch of softies…

The demos so far certainly look fan made..but if you are looking for some optimistic view..here’s one. maybe this project shows to Capcom that there’s interest in the IP and they make a remake…as long as is not like RE3 it would be fine.

  3. Well, the animation could certainly use a ton of work. The character movement looks absolutely awful. The rest of it looks…… acceptable, I suppose.

Hopefully the people involved are learning a lot, because this thing will likely never see completion if Capcom has anything to say about it, which I’m sure they will.

    1. RE2 on Unreal Engine only didnt get finished (outside of what the maker privately owns) because REmake 2 was getting made. The ONLY REASON Capcom would ever give half a crap about whats being made here is if they are actually making a Dino Crisis remake. And given how messed up the R3make was, it is doubtful we will see a resurgence of Dino Crisis any time soon. And given how inferior these remakes were for Resident Evil, maybe thats for the best.

  4. I find your dishonesty intoxicating.

Not a single part of this demo showcases any competence nor apparent effort, I’m confident that a child could make something better after a few weeks of tinkering with UE4 and watching tutorials.

Whoever is making this thing should find a better suited hobby (god forbid this is actually someone with industry experience).

  5. No offense really, but, there’s nothing toxic about people here just calling things as they see them. If they are unimpressed by something, they’ll say it. Just the nature of most of this community.

Not sure why anyone’s dislike of something these days, is blanketed as “toxic”. A largely overused word, when someone doesn’t like reading or hearing negativity.

Negativity, is what drives people to do better. If everyone just praised every single thing anyone ever did, then nothing would ever improve. Hopefully whoever is involved in this project, reads the negative comments, and may put in effort to improve in those areas.

If you like the looks of this, then that’s cool. I won’t bash you for liking it, but, you shouldn’t bash people for disliking it either. Some good arguments here as for why people are unimpressed with this. It’s not like they are just bashing it for no reason in order to simply get a rise out of people.
