New Elden Ring gameplay footage and 4K screenshots

GameInformer has shared a new gameplay video for FromSoftware’s highly anticipated action RPG, Elden Ring. In addition, the official Elden Ring Twitter account has shared two new 4K screenshots.

In Elden Ring, players will ride through the vast fields, gallop over rolling hills, and leap to the top of rocky crags on your ephemeral steed, revealing a world teeming with life and danger.

Elden Ring will have mythic creatures that prowl the veldts, ineffable horrors that lurk in the bogs and marshes, and all manner of soldiers and itinerant warriors. Moreover, shy creatures will nibble on sweet grasses or scuttle through the underbrush.

Furthermore, players can try dozens of skills and find one to best suit their style. Players can practice stealth to avoid danger or catch enemies unaware. Additionally, they can use the environment, the weather, and the time of day to gain an advantage.

Elden Ring will not support framerates higher than 60fps on PC. However, FromSoftware plans to add support for Ray Tracing via a post-launch patch.

Elden Ring will release on February 25th, 2022!

    1. Agreed, cringeworthy gameplay. The super giant died from one hit, while a mere moment later he has to crouch to avoid the small peasant enemies. Paired with graphics from 2012. Put it in the trashbin please!

    2. I guess the only fights you will take on without a horse, will be inside a castle or some other structure. I really think they tried to make this game as easy as possible to placate the whiny games journalists that are not capable of playing these.

      1. You’re totally wrong, I’ve played 15 hours of it. Very few enemies are better off fought on a horse. The game is not easy at all. There are more options for newcomers, but even they have limitations.

For example, the summons can only be used in certain areas, generally dungeons or boss areas. Can’t be resummoned on death, and they get rekt insanely fast. They are handy in areas with a tonne of fodder enemies, but that’s about it.

The main boss in the network test was brutal and much harder than any boss in early areas from previous games.

        1. I hope what you are saying is true. I do not want these games to be changed from what they have always been.

  1. Jeez I can already tell this won’t support FSR or DLSS (which is the most amazing tech in gaming right now) out of sheer laziness on the developer side

          1. you assume because it looks like straight from the ps3 era it will be well optimized. Sweet summer child.

          2. They promised Ray tracing support in future patch, so who knows we might get DLSS too with that

    1. I think you can just join another’s game without a item this time. I do not know for sure, though.

    2. Yes, it’s completely optional, though. You can co-op throughout the entirety of the open world with up to 2 other friends or randoms. There’s also the ability to invade other players to kill them. Apparently there is an arena also, we don’t have any solid details on that yet, though.

  2. That’s really all any of you have to complain about, and it’s not even confirmed to be like that in the final game. I actually think the DS1 remastered network test also had A and B instead of male and female. There is no character creation in network tests, so they need to fit in pictures of each class, both sexes. All into one screen in the start menu, it’s a pretty tight fit.

  3. You can still create male or female. So what’s the problem?! Everyone ends up creating monstrosities anyways.
