New DRAGON QUEST XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age in-engine trailer showcases companions

Square Enix has released a new in-engine trailer for DRAGON QUEST XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age in which we get to meet an endearing band of adventurers that join the main hero on his quest. Once again, famed manga artist Akira Toriyama brings the characters of DRAGON QUEST to life with his delightful, one-of-a-kind style.

While it is the eleventh mainline entry in the critically acclaimed series, DRAGON QUEST XI is a completely standalone experience that features entirely new characters, a beautifully detailed world, finely tuned strategic combat, and an immersive story that will appeal to long-time fans and franchise newcomers alike.

DRAGON QUEST XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is coming to Steam on September 4th in North America and Europe.

  1. I’m not fan of Dragon Quest for 2 reason
    1. it’s RPG but not Action RPG
    2. They are Freaking Rip off of Dragonball Character (I know Akiria Toriyama was the Character Designer but still as a Dragonball fan since childhood this just pisses me off)

    1. That is ridiculous…. If you can’t distinguish the difference between art style and a “rip off” then I feel sorry for you. None of the characters have ANY similarity to those in the Dragonball universe. The only similarity is they share the same artistic style, due to the fact that they have the same creator. Do you feel the same way about Disney characters? You have a very immature way of seeing things obviously…. And a RPG and an Action RPG are both the same thing with different battle styles. This game is much closer to an Action RPG then any other game in the series as it does not use a turn-based battle system… Did you even know that?

  2. It looks like a HD remake for some ps2 game. The music, characters, writing, monsters etc just the general design overall is ancient.
