New Dino Crisis Remake in Unreal Engine 4 video shows Save Room, Locker Room and Main Hall

Earlier this month, we informed you about a fan remake of Dino Crisis in Unreal Engine 4. And today, I’m happy to report that the team behind it has released a brand new video, showcasing the Save Room, Locker Room and the Main Hall.

Now while this fan remake does not feature any dinosaurs or characters yet, its environments look really cool. The team was able to capture the atmosphere of the original game and that’s something that a lot of Dino Crisis fans will appreciate.

Still, and as we’ve already stated, we are not certain whether Capcom will allow the team to continue with this project. Not only that, but we don’t know whether this fan remake will feature any gameplay/combat mechanics at all.

For all we know, this project may recreate most of the game’s environments in Unreal Engine 4 and nothing more. This will be still cool as it will give us a glimpse at what a new Dino Crisis game could look like in Unreal Engine 4, however most Dino Crisis fans would love to actually to play a demo of a proper remake (like for example the Tomb Raider 2 fan remake in Unreal Engine 4).

I don’t know the size of the team behind this fan remake so I’m not sure whether it will be able to implement gameplay mechanics, recreate the main characters and introduce new and highly detailed dinosaurs. To be honest, this sounds impossible so let’s at least hope that the team will be able to remake all of the game’s environments first in Epic’s engine.

Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more!
