Need for Speed Payback story trailer released

Electronic Arts has just released the Need for Speed Payback story trailer. The game is set in the underworld of Fortune Valley, and players – alongside their crews -will search for vengeance against The House.

In Need for Speed Payback, you will play a variety of challenges and events as Tyler, Mac, and Jess. Each driver must take on races, missions, and challenges to earn the respect of the Valley’s underground. Your ultimate goal is to take down The House.

Need for Speed Payback sounds more like a F&F game than a NFS game. Obviously this will please some, and will frustrate others. The game uses the DICE’s Frostbite 3 Engine so we can at least expect great visuals.

The game releases on November 10th.

Enjoy!

  1. underground 3 or GTFO ea
where is black box when u need them to make u a proper underground 3 with snoop doggy dog signing in ur trunk <3

        1. Max Payne 3 was great, much darker and realistic in tone compared to the first two games that I also love. I get that you want to be a hipster who plays pong for hours while complaining about the current state of video game loot boxes.

          1. Dude, Max Payne 3 ain’t got sh*t on Max Payne 1 buddy! The atmosphere, the tone, the noire! Now you’re fighting monkeys in the favelas with tutti-frutti colors everywhere!

          2. While MP3 was a good game i must say you’re right about the vibe and environments of the first being much better than the third.

          3. It’s called evolution of a franchise. It’s boring to keep fighting in a cold damp New York. Rockstar made an amazing game and you’re just a stupid animal.

          4. “It’s called evolution of a franchise.”

It clearly evolved in the wrong direction. Remedy was wrong to trust their franchise to Rockstar. Rockstar are great at big open titles like GTA and RRD, not small atmospheric games with strong story like Max Payne.

“It’s boring to keep fighting in a cold damp New York”

The you shouldn’t play Max Payne in the first place LOL! You’re such a moron.

“and you’re just a stupid animal”

Well, I’m not ugly as a motherfu*ker like you are, so I’m all good.

        1. Keep regurgitating the words of other people. It was a good Max Payne game, much more polished than MP1 and MP2. Take off your rose tinted glasses, MP1 and MP2 are outclasses by MP3 in production values and execution.

  2. Man those character models! Really starting to get there. Especially the hair rendering was great. Frostbite delivers! Swedish tech delivers baby!

    1. Aren’t they pre-rendered cut-scenes ? doesn’t matter, this gen we only got good facial animatoins, the rest was backwards.

      1. I thought so too at first, but then I saw rendering flaws typical for in-engine stuff. So I came to the conclusion that they aren’t pre-rendered. Besides, with latest version of Frostbite, you don’t really need to pre-render stuff since the engine is so advanced nowadays. Aaah but I still remember back in the day, when Sony marketed their new playstation with pre-rendered trailers to show off Killzone and Motorstorm… They were even shown at E3, and people in the crowd cheered over the graphics lmao. I smile every time I see companies and developers trying to impress peasants with amazing graphics of their consoles and console titles, in any or every way they try, fake or not, we all know the reality in the end. Latest was this E3, showing off the new Metro game on the Xbox event, and the gameplay was rendered on a PC lol.

Then we have console defending heroes on these boards trying their best to be pathetic.

Sp4ctr0, PB, MrSquifler and Prithvi Boinpally. To name a few >_>

I’ll crush every one of them with hard proof and valid arguments, things that they seem to lack lol.

    1. Yeh egzakly. What’s the opposite to north? South! And you’re south boy, you’re soo south.

      PCMasterRace=North
Console Peasants or ugly mixed people, people who claim they are PC gamers but play on consoles and defend consoles=South…

Go back the way you came!

  4. According to one of the journalists who attended to Gamescom Kingdom Come is severly downgraded compared to 2 years ago and does not look that good at all. We will see.

    1. It must have been the console version they watched. Because when I played the beta just a year ago it looked stunning.

Besides, you can’t really downgrade cryengine. Because it’s so easy to bump the visuals back up again via .ini and cvars.
