Need For Speed Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary With A New Tribute Trailer

Need For Speed turned 20 yesterday and in order to celebrate it, Electronic Arts released a tribute trailer for this legendary franchise. It’s pretty amazing witnessing how this franchise has evolved over the years. From a pure racing game to a showcase for illegal street races and a more story driven title. Ironically, EA did not include sequences from all the games that were released during these past years, therefore we’ve included a video from YouTube’s member ‘Tofig Shamkhalov’ that does a better job. Enjoy!

  1. Need for Speed Hot pursuit where the best times for me, all pretty much downhill from then, though NFS Porche was OK. The series started going to sh*it when they added track circuit racing, nitro, boosts and copying Burnout and Codemaster’s racing games.

    1. I’ve enjoyed every NFS except the run couldn’t run it with the old 9500gt plus I just didn’t like the fell of it , don’t know why people hated Pro Street and Undercover enjoyed those two.

If only EA made a combination of a street racer by weekday (NFUS2 – Undercover) and Track racer on weekends(Pro Street), thats the dream, although the question is if Ghost Games in going to actually come trhought with Underground 3 or is it another Frostbite 3 based racer, rivals was great just dont think Frostbite is the right engine for it at all.
