Launch trailer released for The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep

inXile Entertainment has released the launch trailer for The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep. Featuring a full party of characters to build and customize, and first-person exploration of maze-like dungeons with devious puzzles and riddles, The Bard’s Tale IV promises to be a true successor to the original Bard’s Tale trilogy, and is crowdfunded by thousands of fans.

The game will feature dynamic phase-based combat, where the pace of battle is animated and fluid, but still gives you time to think and respond to your enemies, and will be set to beautiful Gaelic music, where the Bard’s songs and melodies affect gameplay.

The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep will release on September 18th.

  1. I really hope they have a mode where you don’t get a map and you have to draw out your maps on Graphing Paper. That was so much fun when I was younger. I still have my graphing book from when I was a kid somewhere in my house. Going to look for it and bust it out again if they have that mode again.

    1. Well that mode could be called ‘Just don’t look at the map’, but I doubt BT4 will have huge and intricate levels.
