Kingdom Come: Deliverance gets a brand new gameplay trailer

Deep Silver and Warhorse Studios have released a brand new gameplay trailer for Kingdom Come: Deliverance. In Kingdom Come: Deliverance, players take the role of Henry, a simple blacksmith’s son who must become a soldier, avenge the death of his parents and build a new life in a ravaged world.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is powered by CRYENGINE and will feature a huge and realistic open world, a non-linear story, a dynamic world and challenging battles. The game will allow players to complete quests via multiple choices and is scheduled for a February 13th release.

It’s also worth noting that Kingdom Come: Deliverance will not be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech, will not have a Season Pass and will not have micro-transactions.

Enjoy!

  1. Hey look, another trailer showing off the combat that only shows brief snippets of it because the last time they showed a large scale battle it was the clunkiest looking POS in the history of games.

    1. it’s a small studio
though it’s quality surpass AAA quite easily, because AAA doesn’t provide you with any worthwhile single player RPG’s aside from consolized sequels

      1. Yeah, it’s astounding how some AAA devs make themselves look like a bunch of amateurs. Look at Fallout 4. It has ugly graphics and primitive RPG mechanics even though its budget was big.
And here we’re talking about an independent studio. We surely can forgive them some technical issues.

      2. So what? Congratulations, they’re a small studio that put out an embarrassingly bad video of the combat in a large scale group that showed off that the AI was borderline retarded. Just because they’re not a AAA studio doesn’t mean they can’t make decent actual combat.

          1. I hope so too, I don’t exactly want this game to be bad, but I will say that if it ends up being a gigantic trainwreck watching the subsequent freak out that will happen will be one for the ages.

    2. The combat is said to be deep and rewarding from some previews I read earlier.

Yes it looks unpolished and clunky, but I don’t think that will ruin it. This game has a tiny budget compared to most AAA games. They’ve still achieved a lot imo

      1. I’ve played the game, it’s not that rewarding or really all that deep and still doesn’t appear to have changed that much from the backer beta/alpha.

    3. Isn’t combat a major part of a game? If that sucks then the game isn’t good unless it excels ridiculously in other areas.

      1. Infected it’s so major that it’s a massive selling point of the product but sure if the main way you play through the campaign, large-scale battles, and all the other things they’re promising that involve combat suck surely were going to have the best medieval slice of life simulator ever made.

  2. I wish the combat was better done, because besides the clunky combat I really see a great game. But I really wonder for it’s mainstream appeal with such a poor combat system, they could’ve taken few notes from For Honor. Fine whatever, atleast we get a cool RPG I guess.

      1. Have you played it. Have you played it enough? It flows, it’s engaging and there is actual depth. Shove off.

Or if you are so inclined stay, give me reasonable explanation on how For Honor’s combat is oh so bad or how kingdoms come deliverance’s five directional is oh so much better.

        1. Well, hating Ubisoft for its mere existence is in vogue nowadays. Yeah, they made many boring or downright annoying games, but there are some good qualities in them. It’s funny how people outright dismiss EVERYTHING about those titles just because they have Ubisoft’s logo attached to them.
While I don’t like the “warriors of diversity quotas” vibe flowing from For Honor, I think the combat system in it is kinda good.

As for Kingdom Come, let the devs make the combat system as realistic as possible. It’s their goal after all.

  3. hope they add Smithing and Crossbows a month after Launch
kinda sucks that you won’t be able to forge your own swords…

  4. Lol, there are many different combat moves, and they’re all affected by type of weapon used and the armor of the opponent. And people call it ‘clunky’. Do yourself a favor and don’t touch this historical RPG, stick to Skyrim.

    1. There is something called as flow, while the systems might be layered the core mechanic must flow to truly have it work. And you say don’t touch this game if you are into skyrim? Are fckn right in the head? I want more games like this, I just don’t want my options to be pyranha bytes or that one rpg in 10 years because all of them fail to achieve mainstream success. I don’t understand what is wrong with you people. Don’t you want more games like FONV, Morrowind and maybe now this? Well if you do, these need to be fckn successful.

      1. Combat is actually the worse part in Morrowind and FNV. There’s nothing wrong if you prefer fluid and non-reactive combat, like in the TES games and most JRPGs, but don’t try to force it onto every game. For once, we get an RPG with complex and detailed combat mechanics, why you people insist on ruining it?

        1. It needs to be successful if we want more. I can’t care less about the combat, but mainstream appeal is all about the combat, atleast it should not look fiddly. I want these games, I am sick and tired of playing the garbage out there. If they get the combat to look appealing they can gain mainstream success.

And please read carefully before replying. I don’t need good combat, I want good combat so the goddamn game can be successful. And so I can get more of these games rather than the 1 per decade we seem to be getting.

          1. We all want the game to succeed, but not at the expense of streamlining everything to appeal to everybody, because in the end you’re left with no game at all.

ELEX for example is not a game for everybody, but even at less than 200k units sold on Steam, ELEX 2 is confirmed.

The combat in KCD looks great precisely because it’s not a mindless clickfest like in TES games.

  5. Great music. Sucks that they went and got the video age restricted, this means users without a youtube account can only watch it embedded. The video can’t really spread on youtube itself. Bad move. I wonder if it’s a legal requirement in CZ or the EU now that companies do this. If it isn’t it’s a terrible mistake.

  6. Will this game feature a third person camera? In this trailer the camera is in first person view and I am not very fond of this.
