  1. Facial animation and character detail is dope ! But the fact what this game has taken the initiative to do is nothing short of amazing ! Looking forward to it !

      1. Everything looks amazing, except the animation.

This is a narrative/character driven game with hours of cutscenes and dialogue, if they cannot get people to look natural it all breaks apart.

        Stop being blind.

    1. Dope? The facial animation is terrible, incredibly unnatural muscle movement and often out of sync with the audio.

        1. Warhorse have usually been really open to criticism, you can see that in the comments of the video they haven’t replied to a single person pointing out the issue and asking how/when it will be fixed, they are only replying to generic comments telling them how excited they are for the game.
That is quite unnerving, this is narrative driven game with HOURS of cutscenes and dialogue, if they cannot get people to look and act natural, everything breaks apart.
I have also noticed how much of the voice acting is mediocre/bad, little to no emotion, and someone seems to have messed up the audio mixing//processing because this sounds like they just took the raw voice recordings and pasted in the game.

          1. Exactly my point. At this point they are no better than Bethesda with their Fallout series. If they are expecting a do-over from the fans they are totally misled.

Based on what you said (which I agree), the game relies heavily on cutscenes, thus acting, and given the fact we all know a final when we see one, no matter if it’s an alpha or beta, this will fall apart hard.

Of course there are backers and crazed fans and mediocre gamers that won’t pay any attention to all this and they’ll contribute to the sales. If that’s all they want (the producers, devs etc) then that’s what they get.

But this by no means will be a polished game like Witcher.

          2. What? Witcher 3 never looked bad nor had issues with facial animation, even the earliest gameplay demos were nearly flawless.

  3. I’ve played the game at a friends house who backed it after I showed extreme interest in it and within 30 minutes my opinion was fomed: the game is awful. The combat is painfully slow and boring, the animations and movement feel like they have absolutely no weight to them, the world is boring and uninteresting, the game suffers from “cryengine syndrome” where it plays and feels like every other cryengine game. They completely and total have dropped the ball on the game, and I’m willing to admit this before it even comes out. This game is mediocrity to the core through and through. If they somehow vastly change the game-play and game that’s actual available, they may have something, but I doubt they’ll pull it together.

I don’t even mean to sour anybodies opinion, I’m just giving everybody my opinion on the game from what they have made available and it’s extremely mediocre. That’s all. I’m sorry if you’re looking forward to the game and my opinion somehow turns you off.
