IGI Origins-2

I.G.I. Origins gets an official gameplay reveal trailer

In 2019, Toadman Interactive and Antimatter Games revealed the next part in the IGI video-game series. Since then, though, we haven’t heard anything about this game. Until today. Antimatter Games has just released an official gameplay reveal trailer for this title, featuring in-game footage.

Featuring signature gunplay with tactical realism as well as stealth, gadgets, and a focus on narrative, I.G.I. Origins puts the player in the role of a male or female super spy with MI6. Players will also go on a high-stakes thrill ride across the globe in settings with an iconic 80s look and feel, with a do-or-die chance to redeem their reputation as a secret agent—and to save the world.

As a prequel to the beloved games from 2000 and 2003 that were well-known for their stealth action, open maps and hellish difficulty, the new game will allow fans to explore the origins of some of the characters and organizations from the originals.

I.G.I. Origins is using Unreal Engine and there is currently no ETA on when it will come out.

Enjoy!

  1. Hmm. The video is missing the true IGI scale, that huge open landscape with random towers and a base set in the middle of nowhere. And of course the iconic musical score. I’m still super excited for it, Project IGI was a rite of passage if you owned a PC back in 2000. Only the Sniper Contract games have come close to replicating it.

    1. well beyond enemy lines 1 and 2 tried, but they were impossibly hard and no one could finish them. Some missions in the first game are straight ripped from project igi.

      1. I wasn’t even aware of these games, thanks for bringing them to my attention. I see the similarities, and the Steam reviews.

      1. When the “gameplay” mechanics feel and look retarded/unrealistic, that title can go and kick sand for the majority.

          1. I’m long past my college-youth to care about most of these today’s fast-pacing / Earl-calling experiences.

      2. they said “focus on narrative” this isn’t the IGI you’re looking for. With a focus on narrative, graphics are important af

  2. it looks good but it could be a disaster when its out, like beyond enemy lines 1 and 2, go watch the trailer for the second game. This is not how the game is, the whole trailer is recorded with god mode, in the actual game every enemy can see you and take you out instantly and there is no saving so you have to restart the level, some missions are just impossible due to how aware the ai is. So unless i see uncut gameplay i am not falling for this again.

For those who dont know beyond enemy lines 1 had missions directly ripped from project igi.

    1. This is the year 2022, ain’t no way a developer will release a game with broken impossible difficulty, the reverse is more likely.

          1. “says who?”
            Me.

“Also i wasnt talking about early access”

The game you mentioned looks incomplete even if it doesn’t have EA label.

          2. “The game you mentioned looks incomplete even if it doesn’t have EA label.”

ah so now early access is whatever we want it to be.

    1. Ditto. It’s one of the biggest pet peeves I have about games, not respecting my time to let me save a game when I need to.
