NVIDIA has released a new video for Need for Speed Payback, showcasing the PC version running in glorious 4K with 60fps. NVIDIA claimed that this new NFS game was running in 4K and with 60fps on a single NVIDIA GeForce GTX1080Ti. As such, it’s pretty safe to assume that Need for Speed Payback will run really smooth on the PC platform.
In Need for Speed Payback, players will drive as three distinct characters reunited by a quest for vengeance against The House, a nefarious cartel that rules the city’s casinos, criminals and cops. They will take on a variety of challenges and events as Tyler, the Racer; Mac, the Showman; and Jess, the Wheelman to earn the respect of the underground.
Featuring the deepest customization from the series, players will be able to craft a personalized and unique ride, or spend hours finding and tuning an abandoned derelict into a supercar. Players will also be able to bet on their own performance, where they can either multiply their winnings or risk losing it all.
Need for Speed Payback is currently planned for a November 10th release.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. Actually, looks beautiful and fun!
Looking forward to this!
Same, I have been tracking it for a while I can’t wait.
feels like a mobile game with gtx 1080TI graphics ……. and that GTR sounds like a fiat
What do you expect from this arcade bulls**t made for teeny boppers! ITs not a Project Cars or Forza….
I always find it amusing when 4K content is shown on YouTube with a max quality of 1080p. Why not upload it in 4K?
I don’t use YT much, but seriously man?
You have to have 4k to watch it in actual 4k and you do that by changing the vids resolution…
It’s like showcasing a game running at 1080p but only uploading it in 480p quality. It doesn’t make any sense. Anyway, the issue was with my browser setup. They did indeed upload it in 4K as well as 1440p.
I agree, but in this case it is a 4k 60 FPS vid. The reason it does not work for you is because this is a 4K 60 FPS video if it was 30 FPS it would work(you would see the option). I bet you are not using Google Chrome and you have a older Geforce graphics card that is not a 1050 – 1080 Ti?
Download and use Google chrome and it will always expose and have 4K and 1440p 60 FPS vid setting available in the gear setting at the bottom right. They don’t determine what you can view by the GPUs specs your cards has.
Other browsers like MS Edge query specifically the GPUs features and are direct GPU accelerated in YouTube and determine what settings you get. I know, it’s pretty stupid right. Sure it is fast but to block settings is pretty crazy and sucks for content creators since not everyone has a new video card.
I used to have a 980 Ti and none of the 4K, 1440p 60 FPS stuff would ever work and is not supported on the older cards in Edge(there was only 1080p). Then I got a 1080 Ti and it magically worked. If you have the 1000 series like a 1050 to 1080 Ti Edge will work fine with any video in 4K, 1440p in 60 FPS.
This drove me mental for a long time as to why it worked on Chrome but not Edge. Thank you MS 🙁
I just tried it in Chrome and the options for 4K and 1440p are there. It’s weird that it doesn’t show up in Firefox. I’m using a GTX 1070.
Cool, well in that case Edge would work as well if you are on Win 10.
Huh that is very weird that FireFox would not work, I would think it be just like Chrome. Looks like it is worse than Edge. Since you have a 1070 Edge will work really well on 1440p and 4K stuff(I sometimes use it instead of Chrome). Chrome of course is always a sure thing for YouTube vids.
Yeah it makes no sense, you would think they have a standard by now on all the browsers at a video player level and they all would behave the same by now 🙁 , well glad you got it to work.
Looks too arcadish.
Only reason to play i don’t like “games” like project cars they are nothing more then simulations.
Well it’s targeted at console crowd…what’d you expect?
Not capped to 30fps like NFS The Rivals is without fixing ourselves? Slow handclap for EA.
Guys a heads up again
Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee is FREE right now! Grab it Quickly! Soo many free games this year
Thanks a bunch.
what’s with all the racing articles lately?
did John sell his car or something?
Game ready super charged technology!
It’s insane! What a time to be alive 🙂
Ugh the handling looks god awful just like the previous NFS games. You would think with Forza and ProjectC being so successful they would at least make an attempt to improve the handling system. This just gonna be another NFS let down.
