Digital Extremes has shared a new video, showcasing 22 minutes of gameplay footage from Warframe’s upcoming update, Plains of Eidolon. Plains of Eidolon will allow players to explore, discover, fight, and fly through Warframe in an open-world environment, and this video shows players taking down Grineer encampments.
In the Plains of Eidolon players will set foot in a Landscape larger than anything they’ve seen in Warframe – and they will be free to explore it on their own terms. Players will be able to summon their Archwing at will for air travel and battle, and experience the great outdoors as they hunt resources in the rivers and streams. Moreover, Plains of Eidolon will feature a dynamic day/night cycle.
Warframe’s Plains of Eidolon update is currently planned for release later this year.

so this is the same thing but with a diffirent skin. Now its not a corridor game its a open world game.

Wtf, they changed the fundamental type of game Warframe is, and you call it a different “skin”? Get a clue.
what they changed? It is the same game as proven by the end of the video that you have the same options you have in the spaceship.
It changed the “type of game” the same way they added a spaceship in later builds.
It is a reskin.
By your standards, a lot of games are ‘the same game’, but with a different skin.
Calling this change a reskin is very silly. Ofcourse it’s still Warframe, but making an open world region like this and all the changes that come with it is no small thing.
Its the same thing, instead of going to the ship to equip weapons you have an area to do it.
It will be an addition to the game not a different skin, it will be a new type of map variation with gameplay changed in that kind of map because you don’t need to go to your ship after a mission and so on. It will play more like a RPG with the very same mechanics as of now if you think about it.
More weapons and stuff to farm yes…but is the farm bad or boring? Not to me yet since I still have a couple of Warframes to get, some Primes (for free through relics), a lot of weapons, etc…plus all the new crap they are going to add with modular customizable weapons and such.
Gameplay is fluid, fun and never gets old to destroy AI’s in coop or in solo, graphics are great as well as performance and it is a free game…I don’t see the negatives about this game for real. Too much farming perhaps, well yeah but at least for me it is fun to farm not like in other games of this type.
And is not a reskin of the game at all, it will be a new node/type of map for Earth (hopefully adding more for each type of planet in the future), so it will be a variant to the set of maps we have now (procedural/modular/maze like ones). Is not that the game goes open world with this map only and the rest won’t be there anymore.
It is a map that works like an open world/RPG in where you can stay, walk, explore and get missions without menus or without having to go to your ship after a mission with a loading screen.
I very welcome this expansion…and while being free there is nothing to complain…not a single bit. More time to play for me, can’t see the negatives.
Its the same game and yes farming is booring, the most booring kind of farming i ever seen in a game. It take too longto unlock new weapons.
Yes the gameplay is fluid and yes it does get old to destroy ai which isnt tough to begin with.

Every single item in the game can be bought by just playing the game, no real money needed and its not even hard to earn it. And you tried out a early mission and you did not get amazing epic gear from it ??

First of , no one NEEDS a incubator. Second. If you weren’t so cheap you would have bought a incubator and not its BP. Then you would not have to wait to craft it.
By the time i thought about getting a incubator i had all the items for it already, how come you may ask? well that is because it has been way way down the priority list. I threw it in the oven and continued playing, logged off later that night and the next time i logged in it was ready. i played for 2 years and at most i spend about 30 bucks on the game, the rest of all the thousands of platinum i earned i earned by playing the game. You know, “the real currency of the game”.
