Devolver Digital has released a new video, showcasing the first ten minutes from Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem. This video will give you an idea of what you can expect from this standalone expansion of Serious Sam.
In this new Serious Sam game, players will join the fight against Notorious Mental on a journey through the wild lands of Russia. Players find their way through this lost chapter of Sam Stone’s adventures.
Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem will feature five new levels. These levels will be set in a beautiful and dangerous world, from Arctic coastlines and desolate forests to abandoned villages and a chilling ghost town.
The game will have around 50 weapons; from the legendary AK to the experimental ‘Perun’ crossbow. Additionally, players can expect the game to feature a number of side quests.
Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem will release on January 25th!

looks exactly like serious sam 4 ,and its very boring , the game looks and feels unfinished, with empty maps where enemies spawn in front of you(like actual *puff from the sky*)
They should make a sequel to serious 2 . it was great looking game, cool weapons, strange game play, weird story…
very average the writing is horrible level design is decent though.
Looks like a game made by students/interns !!
Doom evolved, this didn’t.
Looks like a game from 2008 lmao
I don’t think if I have seen a worse looking game in the last decade.
Sprint, health bars, hovering objective markers and descriptions on screen at all times, copy pasted buildings where you have to run up narrow stairs to get to rooms with… radios or some sht – why? why do any of this stuff? I’m also underwhelmed by the graphics, those used to be a selling point for Serious Sam. this game looks like Unreal Engine 3 plus good shadows. that’s some extreme stagnation.
there are also positives to mention like the snowy atmosphere, the sound design (mostly), the fact that a shotgun is useful past 5 meters for once and more. I don’t hate it, it just leaves me indifferent.
I don’t think if I have seen a worse looking game in the last decade.
Overhaul that engine of yours, Croteam
At this point i think it’s time for Croteam to go down for good. They don’t know how to build great levels and gameplay pacing anymore. As for this russian studio, TimeLock, well they did their best. Not their fault. At least they added new weapons.
They never did, serious sam levels are so basic
Very bland and boring level design, like most of SS games. You can’t expect the player to enjoy hours of mindless shooting on mostly empty open spaces on 2022. These guys must look back at what the good old shooters nailed, and it was a good and clever level design. I rather play some gzdoom custom levels for free than paying for this crap.
I bought Serious Sam 4 and still have not installed or played it. Maybe it’s *time.
