Gamespot has shared a new video, showing ten minutes of gameplay footage from Square Enix’s upcoming RPG, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. This video showcases free roaming as well as the game’s combat mechanics.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age tells a captivating tale of a hunted hero and is the long-awaited role-playing game from series creator Yuji Horii, character designer Akira Toriyama, and series composer Koichi Sugiyama.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is a completely standalone experience that features entirely new characters, a beautifully detailed world, finely tuned turn-based combat, and an immersive story that promises to appeal to longtime fans and franchise newcomers alike.
The game is currently scheduled for a September 4th release.

I took a shine on this when it was a ps4 game, but looking at it now “, finely tuned turn-based combat,” meh make it real time, zelda/borderlands like regions with paths instead of real open world, awful music and the gayest party members ever, seriously one dude looks like a woman the other has blue hair, the other one is a 5 year old red riding hood girl, boooooooo.
