Far Cry 5 feature 2

Here are four minutes of gameplay footage from Far Cry 5

Back in December, Ubisoft revealed a new gameplay video for Far Cry 5, showing 4 minutes of gameplay action from it. And since this video passed under our radar, we’ve decided to share it with you today.

Far Cry 5 releases on March 27th and promises to feature the largest customizable weapon and vehicle roster ever in a Far Cry game. Players will also be able to freely explore Hope County’s rivers, lands, and skies.

Moreover, Far Cry 5 will take advantage of Rapid Packed Math which will allow a graphics card to execute two math instructions for the price of one. This will obviously boost the performance on AMD’s GPUs (as those are the only ones supporting this feature right now).

Furthermore, Far Cry 5 will be playable via online co-op right after the first in-game tutorial. All earned experience and inventory items, excluding quest-based items, will carry over following each co-op session.

Enjoy!

  1. There is a ton of footage in youtube if you want to check the gameplay out, I saw nothign new in this trailer. Its essentially far cry 4 with coop campaign. You no longer have a character you create one in the begining and you play the game kinda like wildlands.

far cry 4.5 is one thing but this is more like 4.2 if you ask me.

Oh well i enjoyed fc4, ill get this one 2 years from now on a steam sale.

  2. Seems more like a blend of open-world game, with first person shooter mechanics/FPS, imo.

But regardless of that, I hope FC5 lives up the expectations.

I just hope UBI/game developers implement something new to the PC version of this title, apart from Graphical improvements and the like.

I would love to see a QUICK SAVE, as well as a Manual SAVE/Load Game feature being implemented in the game’s latest engine, IF possible (old school style) ?

        1. It did have checkpoints, but there was also a quick save option and you could even remap the key binding to use the feature.

    1. Pretty much, they removed the minimap and the towers and designed it like far cry primal. You start the game and then its open. You can go anywhere you want. Dependng where you got you may, or may not find the dog. But knowing ubisoft they gonna make the important stuff main story missions so you cant miss em. I am curious to see how good the sidemissions are because now by the looks of it, you get em from various characters as opposed to being billboards that you have to get through various checkpoints like you play just cause or assasins creed.

The only good thing seems to be that it has dogfights.

      1. Down Grade=Graphical. I’d stick with being a Metal Messiah as you are clearly not a Gaming Messiah .lol

        1. I dissagree with you, there is no graphical downgrade, it always looked like far cry 4.2. But there is a gameplay downgrade, you no longer have a machete, you meele punch people to death… Now thats a downgrade.

          1. Eh, in different videos melee was featured, you can use sledgehammer, pitchfork, baseball bat and shovel…

    1. no it looks exactly like far cry 4, exactly, maybe slightly better. You need to replay fc3. No idea what downgrade martin is talking about it never looked particulary impressive.

BUT HEY THIS TIME IT HS THE LARGEST EMPTY MAP IN A FAR CRY GAME EVER, SO THAT JUSTIFIES THE PERFOMANCE.

  3. Why you always add “Far Cry 5 will use Rapid Packed Math” part in every FC5 article? Rapid Packed Math is just another AMD gimmick to gimp Nvidia performance and reduce image quality to gain performance. AMD already using conslow tech checkerboard rendering in Dirt 4. Why do you think Vulkan only works with 8x TSSAA? You have to hide all artifacts presented with checkerboard rendering.

  4. Also, I’m eagerly awaiting, pop-corn in hand, the explanation they’ll come up with to justify the complete absence of law enforcement.

  5. god DAMN it looks worse than far cry 3 ……….this is what happens when u try to make a game to run 60 FPS on Xbox X

    1. 60 fps? That would be unusual for the series and I can’t find any source even hinting at it. Expect PC-like graphics at 30 fps.
