I seriously don’t know whether we should congratulate modders for what they have accomplished or not. Because this hacking attempt may doom all other possible attempts at bringing the Halo franchise to the PC. Despite Microsoft’s attempts to take down the modded version of Halo: Online, YouTube’s member ‘GamingPranks’ has shared a new video showcasing proper multiplayer action from its latest build. It looks cool, so make sure to watch it!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”

Microsoft made an absolutely huge blunder in restricting the game to Russia. I still cannot fathom why they did so. The PC Halo community have made every attempt in the past to reach out to MS for more Halo on PC, but MS’s attitude has been utterly indifferent at best, and at worst, downright hostile to the idea.
If anything, the modders that did this proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is both demand and an audience for PC Halo, and the onus is squarely on Microsoft to stop neglecting it as a market.
Playable yes but dear god it plays like crap because there’s aim assist and joining a match it a lot of hassle. You can’t just open the game and search and there’s no dedicated servers so most games are laggy because the match is being hosted on some home Internet connection
Oh, so it’s comparable to “The Master Chief Collection,” then? 😉
THat’s one thing about the PC gaming sector – absolutely zero respect for intellectual property.
right. you keep telling youeself that.
well, you’ve sure convinced me otherwise.
I doubt Steam look at their sales figures and get too hot under the collar about piracy to be honest. PC gaming is incredibly lucrative.
True. PC gamers are the scum in gaming industry. Claims to pay for more expensive hardware yet pirates the f’ out of games lol
I consider that a compliment.
Intellectual Property? They never released it on PC so it’s not even able to be considered piracy at this point. Also, because it was on the last gen console only, they aren’t losing a dime over this.
MS has zero respect for PC gamers, they bring the first 2 games to PC and they make Halo console exclusive, because fck PC gamers right?
Here you go guys an isometric Halo shooter no1 wanted and a multiplayer game for Russia, thx M$.
MS doesn’t owe you anything, especially now.
I absolutely love all the people harping on about PC gamers being pirates; seemingly completely oblivious to the fact that in spite of having no protections against piracy, PC gaming outstripped the entire console market for revenue last fiscal year.
