Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered officially announced, developed by Saber Interactive [UPDATE: Epic Games Store]

Two weeks ago, we informed you about a possible remaster of Ghostbusters: The Video Game. And today, we are happy to report that this remaster is real, is developed by Saber Interactive, and will release later this year.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a 2009 action adventure game based on the Ghostbusters media franchise that was developed by Terminal Reality and was released in 2009. This Ghostbusters game is said to be a sequel to the second Ghostbusters movie (it is often described as “what the third GB movie should have been”) and canon to the timeline of the original movies.

A reveal trailer for this remaster has been released that you can view below. Now while this trailer is from Sony’s channel (which lists only PS4), we are pretty sure that this is a multi-platform release (meaning that it will also come to Xbox One and the PC).

My guess is that Saber Interactive will issue an official press release soon, so we’ll be sure to update this story once we get our hands on it. Until then, enjoy the following trailer!

UPDATE:

Saber Interactive and Mad Dog Games confirmed that Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is coming to the PC, however it will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.

  1. Evil me wants this game to be a PS4 exclusive just to see that egg on the face of DSOGaming for jumping the gun in reporting it before the official PC announcement which I am fully expecting to be an Epic Games Store exclusive if indeed its also coming to PC.

    1. Same thing happened to XIII remaster, the trailer listed PS4 only and it’s gone multi platform in the afternoon

    2. It was on PC for a long time(not the remastered version that is). It got delisted a while back, not sure exactly when. I played it and it scaled pretty well to higher resolutions so if you want to avoid the EGS you could find a key reseller or a cracked version im sure.

  2. I picked up the original on PC for $10 on Amazon. Guess I won’t be getting the remaster if it’s an exclusive to the epic shitstorm.

  3. it’s me or the trailer is composed only of the cinematic sequences and shows nothing of the “remastered” graphics

  4. don’t care that much for this game and would have picked it up on a sale but if it’s epic sh*t store exclusive then meh… don’t even care. NEXT!!
