Microsoft has released the first in-engine trailer for State of Decay 3. This trailer mostly showcases some in-engine cut-scenes. Moreover, it packs a few gameplay sequences.

State of Decay 3 is an open-world survival game set years after a zombie apocalypse nearly wiped out humankind. According to the game’s description, an evolving zombie threat is taking over the landscape and you need to carve out a life for your community of survivalist homesteaders.

The devs claimed that the choices you make will affect in-game events and storylines. For example, if one of your community members falls to the zombie horde, you’ll lose that character and their abilities forever.

State of Decay 3 will support online multiplayer with up to 4 players.  As such, players will be able to start a community together from scratch with their friends in a shared, persistent world. They’ll all be able to build, develop, and expand a base that reflects their designs and choices.

Finally, there isn’t currently any ETA on when the game will come out.
