It’s been a while since our last look on The Battle for Middle-Earth: Reforged, right? Well, the BFME: Reforged Team has released the first gameplay video for it. This video will give you an idea of the game’s graphics, and its gameplay style.
In case you weren’t aware of, The Battle for Middle-Earth: Reforged aims to bring Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth to Unreal Engine 4. This will be a free game, though there isn’t currently any ETA on when it will come out.
The team is currently focusing on bringing the multiplayer mode to Unreal Engine 4. Once the MP mode is complete, the team may start working on its single-player campaign.
Now after what happened with GoldenEye 25, I’m not sure whether it’s smart showcasing this kind of games prior to their release. Yes, the purpose of this project is mainly to gauge interest and use it for the team’s portfolio. However, it would have been great if we could at least get a playable demo, right?
From what I know, Warner Bros owns the rights of the LOTR franchise and EA owns the rights of Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth. Thus, I’m not sure whether these companies will send the BFME: Reforged Team a C&D letter.
