First 10 minutes of gameplay footage from Marvel’s Avengers E3 2019 demo leaked online (off-camera)

Square Enix showcased Marvel’s Avengers behind closed doors at E3 2019 and the first gameplay footage from that presentation has been leaked online. This, low/potato quality off-camera video showcases 10 minutes of gameplay from what appears to be an alpha version.

As always, do keep in mind that this alpha demo was meant for the press and does not represent the quality of the final product. The game is currently scheduled for a May 2020 release so we expect EIDOS Montreal and Crystal Dynamics to further improve things.

Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source.

Marvel’s Avengers is described as an epic action-adventure game that combines cinematic storytelling with single-player and co-operative gameplay. The game will not feature any lootboxes or pay to win mechanics, however, it will feature microtransactions for skins.

Unfortunately, there is no way to embed the video (and Square Enix has already taken down the previous YouTube link) so those interested can find and watch the video by visiting this Reddit post here.

  1. Cap dost even looks like a real cap
Black widow looks like a man …… Yeah we pc gamers dont want this on our platform. Thx

  2. From what anyone could possibly make out in that video, it looks like your staple “press one button to win” game design from SE. First vibe I got within 5 seconds of that video, was FF XV, with Marvel skin on it.

SquareEnix (or any of their assimilated studios) couldn’t design an original game if their lives depended on it. I don’t even have to see more to know it will be garbage. Garbage, is synonymous with the name SquareEnix (along with many other publishers these days).

The only good stuff coming out of SE these days, are third-party published games they take a slight chance on. Anything internally developed from SE, has been absolute bile, for at least the past decade. Maybe longer.

    1. Marvel’s Avengers is developed by Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montréal and Dutch developer Nixxes.Square Enix is the publisher… Last time I checked there are no Final Fantasy developed by Crystal Dynamics…

  3. Reddit cracks me up. This is all they see and they are losing their minds at how “fun” it looks with this very limited video ready to buy now – just because it’s the Avengers IP. Watching a cat chasing a laser pointer is “fun” so games need to be more than just “fun” if I am going to buy. Regardless, this is an instant “no buy” though since they announced gaas and microtransactions.

  4. it’s exactly what i thought it’d be, full of cutscenes, linear and fcking quick time events. we’re talking about crystal dynamic after all. the most boring triple a developer.
