Dune Awakening feature-2

Dune: Awakening just got a new beautiful in-engine trailer

Funcom has just released a new beautiful in-engine trailer for Dune: Awakening, showcasing Arrakis’s unforgiving but spellbinding majesty. So, if you are a fan of Dune, I suggest taking a look at it.

Dune Awakening promises to mix the cool stuff from sandbox survival games with the social fun of big multiplayer games. Or at least that’s Funcom’s intention. Just like other games, it’s got combat, experience points, a crafting system, as well as a base-building system. This isn’t my cup of tea but I can see why Funcom went into that MMO route.

Players will be able to craft their identity and build their prowess, from deep character creation to skills and abilities. Then, they’ll be able to search the deserts for massive spice blows to harvest the most valuable resource in the universe. Moreover, they’ll be able to create a guild and grow it into a House Minor by allying yourself with one of the Great Houses.

Dune Awakening will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, and it will take full advantage of both Nanite and Lumen. As NVIDIA has also revealed, the game will support DLSS 3 when it comes out. Plus, there will be support for DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Gen from the get-go.

Dune Awakening currently targets an early 2025 release date on PC. Sadly, we don’t have a specific ETA on when it will come out. We also don’t have any PC requirements for it. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. Here's my challenge for all gamers:

Find a single modern triple-A game that doesn't use the color pink and purple in UI or game itself.

      1. No, those are feminine colors, and I dislike them.
Compare Prototype 1 & 2 to Marvel’s Spider-Man 1 & 2. Compare the classic God of War games to the modern ones.
Compare the Arkham games to Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad. Compare Soldier of Fortune 1 & 2, Doom 1, 2 & 3 to the Doom remakes.
Compare Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 to Inquisition and Veilguard.
Compare monster design in The Evil Within 1 to The Evil Within 2. Compare Exodus (an upcoming Mass Effect-inspired game) to Mass Effect itself.
The list is endless, and there’s clearly a pattern. Why? Because those games were made by dudes for dudes, now we have sh*t ton of women who are grossed out by violence and drab color palettes working for these studios. Female brain is incpable of understanding what’s appealing to a man. Everything has to be bright and colorful because companies hire a lot of women (and f4gs) who are looking for work and not to make cool video games that they want to play.

          1. Stop being a f4ggot
Processed food is making everyone a f4g like you.
Eat more red meat and you'll be cured of sucking c*cks 24/7.

          1. Some parts of the city looked okay but effects and UI look very gay.
Overall, It looks disgusting to me. I absolutely hate the colors in that game.

    1. I was going to say kingdom Come two but, I don't think it had quite the same budget as a triple AAA game. Space Marines 2, and God of War Ragnarok.

    2. I get what your saying, Though I like colors(not the browns of x360 era)..every aspect of gaming has been captured.
