Action fans, get ready for a treat. The team behind the best emulator for Playstation 3, RPCS 3, has released a new video showing Dante’s Inferno running with 60fps. This action adventure game is almost perfectly emulated on RPCS 3 and even though there are some minor graphical glitches, Dante’s Inferno is perfectly playable on RPCS 3.
According to the team, an Intel i5-4690 @ 3.5 ghz is almost able to deliver a 60fps experience. However, and due to how the game is programmed, it must hold 60 fps for audio to work correctly otherwise it will stutter. As such, and for a perfectly smooth experience, the team recommends something a little faster than the i5-4690.
This new version that runs Dante’s Inferno smoothly has not been made available to the public yet.
Enjoy!

LOL, devs who attach sound to the framerate. Thats why console development is popular among triple AAA developers(not all of them), you can make a lazy cheap programming and still make millions.
And before someone jump into conclusions, Im speaking about the technical part, of course the concept design and the whole atmosphere of the game is pretty cool.

but why?
Patreon supporters get earlier access to builds just like CEMU, gotta have something for the people actually funding the project.
really? thats weird i heard they didnt do the backer exclusive releases.thanks for the reply.
Nvm I was wrong. I dont see anything mentioned about early access but backers do seem to get tech support so that might help enable stuff like getting games to work before most other people can get them to run. I could have sworn I heard something about them doing EAB for backers tho.
lol so not only emulating illegally but accepting money for it, good sh*t.

PS John papasoutis or whatever, you should really disable the moderation crap on your disqus plugin if that’s possible.
I think Xenia only has 1 or 2 people working on it at any given time, that probably affects it more than the complexity of the PS3.
RPCS 3 also has only 2 guys working on it.
their discord lists 5 people as developers. (and a lead developer so 6)
They stepped up their game then but it is not that long ago that it was only 2.
You’re right, is only two people working full time right now.
The other developers are helping in their spare time only.
That day when we can play Metal Gear Solid 4 on PC 🙂 We are soo close.
Konami should remaster MGS games again. I’m sure a good collection will sell great on PS4 and PC.
They released the HD remaster of MGS2 for nvidia Shield not long ago and will probably release the remaster of MGS3 too. It would be insulting if they don’t release those remasters in PC too.
BTW, I’m talking about remasters, not about remakes.
At this state, they studied and reverse engineered the arhitecture and its now much easier for them…. but there is tons of more things to do/add and it takes time, time is the biggest problem nowadays and not knowledge/capability (they also need to sleep, to go to school/college or go to work etc).
Impressive, but I’m not playing anything in 720p. Hopefully high resolution support won’t take too long…
” However, and due to how the game is programmed, it must hold 60 fps for audio to work correctly otherwise it will stutter.”
Oh, so it’s just like PS2 emulation then? Damn that sucks, hope the PC req get’s lighter.
its how it is programmed not on how it is emulated. They cant change the games code.
what does it say?
I can’t say because it is secret yet for the Patreons, but I can say its very good for MGS4 fans.
Great
Wow, I need this baby in 8k
This is good, don’t rush guys
It didn’t even run at 60 fps on PS3 or 360 so that’s weird. Source: I have the game still and can put it in my console when I get home and confirm, not 60 fps.
It doesnt. That was total horse sh*t perpetuated by Sony and developers just like the emotion. PowerPC emulation is harder.

I’m literally staring at the shadows in this video. Are you retarded or does this video have nothing to do with what you just said?
Idiot.
This video is the original PS version WITH the right shadowing
Idiot.
