Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 feature

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 gets a single-player campaign trailer

Activision has released a new trailer for the single-player campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Activision has named this a gameplay trailer but let’s be realistic here, this is an in-engine trailer (full of cut-scenes) and not an actual gameplay trailer.

From what we can see, the single-player campaign of COD: Modern Warfare 3 will be focusing on Makarov. The trailer also hints at the No Russian mission. However, it appears that it won’t be the exact mission. I don’t want to go to spoilers, but it appears that this time this iconic mission will be focusing on an airplane-highjacking.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 10th. And while the publisher has not shared any tech details, it will be interesting to see whether it will have any Ray Tracing effects. Although Modern Warfare 2 didn’t feature any RT, the first Modern Warfare game supported ray-traced shadows.

Activision has also confirmed that COD: MW3 will feature a Zombies Mode. According to its description, this will be the largest Call of Duty Zombies map ever. Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ) will tell a new Treyarch Zombies story with missions, core Zombies features, and secrets to discover.

Lastly, Activision shared some new multiplayer details. In Modern Warfare 3, all 16 launch maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009) have been modernized with new modes and gameplay features and will be available at launch.

Enjoy this single-player trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and stay tuned for more!

  1. I don’t care what anyone says, the CoD campaigns are always a blast to play. I never touch its multiplayer though (well maybe the zombies mode here and there lol).

    1. Yes, same here! I wish they released the single player campaign as a separate version without the multiplayer component for a smaller price.

      1. They’ll never …
They know, there are gamers who want to play the SP only .. but Acti-Bliz will force them to buy the whole package at full price

  2. Modern Warfare was a great game Modern Warfare 2 as a shambling mess on crossplay Guns dont fire Bullets dont hit the target or go through the target incosistant gun mechanics and time to kill .
Vanguard is so much better no way i will be buying Modern Warfare 3.

  3. I just got done playing the MWII Shadow Siege Event which is pretty much a promotion for MWIII and it was really fun. Probably the most fun I have had in COD in a long time. You drop in a huge map with a 40 man team. You are in a squad of 4. You have to go to a specific missle launch site that is designated for your squad. I think their are 10 sites total. After every squad captures every missle site the missles are aimed a a huge base in the middle of the map. Then everyone has to raid the base and extract biological chemicals while NPCs spawn in like crazy. Helos, Juggernauts, tons of ads. Poison gas going off in the underground base and you have to keep swapping gasmask if yours is damaged while fighting. Once you have extracted 45 total you leave on a chopper and it plays a cutscene that sets everything up for MWIII. It is pretty rad. I wish they always had a mode like that. I thought DMZ was going to be like that but that puts you against NPCs and other players. It is nice to be able to raid a huge base with 40 friendlies and just f*k sh*t up. It’s pretty much a Warzone sized raid with all people vs the AI. Too bad it has to end in a couple of days. I got all the unlocks in two runs so that’s cool.

  4. Not sure what you mean. This one is Treyarch. I liked the Treyarch games the least (world at war, and all the black ops games). I am a campaign player though.

  5. So it looks like Sledgehammer is making this one, right? That would be the first time that Infinity Ward is not taking the lead in MW series. My favorite CoD game ever is Vanguard from Sledgehammer Games and I really hate the multiplay in which everyone’s jumping up and down and sniping each other from afar. I hope MWIII campaign to be a long and old-fashioned CoD experience.

      1. Yeah fucking Vanguard! First, I love old guns specially WWII guns. They seem so unique with each having their own flaws and second, because Vanguard experience is the closest to the old-fashioned CoD. No silly towel-head terrorists that run everywhere mindlessly like morons, no stupid silencer and night vision, no stupid ride on a helicopter and shoot at cars until they explode with unlimited ammo, no a higher rank who keeps telling me defend here, go there, do this, do that, blah blah, and so many other things. The old push forward combat experience. So yes; FCKING VANGUARD!

          1. Thanks for sharing the video.
Regardless, I still prefer Vanguard weapons to MW and Black Ops series weapons.
            Thanks again.

  6. I still don’t understand why they decided to reboot this series just to tell the same story but worse.
I bet these maps are from cancelled MW2 MP(2009) remaster from Raven.

    1. I’ve been asking myself that question since the very beginning. Never felt compelled to play the reboot series simply because the stories in the original games for me was well executed and still hold up. There was no need to retell anything from those. They could have just done a reboot or a spin-off with completely new set of characters and story arc but I suppose that requires too much thinking to implement. Creative bankruptcy in a nutshell.

  7. after the absolute borefest that was the previous game as it was inspired by netflix shows instead of over the top blockbusters, they are now recycling mw2 and mw3 plots from the old games.

    Cod has jumped the shark.

  8. I just want the original MW3 remastered like they did the first 2. The reboot is ok, story is crap, gameplay is fun. But I’ll stick to the original.

    1. Yea .. was waiting for the MW3-Remaster as well … Was not a fan of the OG MW3 color pallete. At launch, to me it looked a bit inferior to MW2 …
      Would’ve enjoyed the MW3 Remaster.
They could’ve shoved the MW3 Remaster with this year’s MWIII DLC at same launch price. Would’ve been better value.

  9. Its reported that Sledgehammer is doing something different with MWIII campaign.
Instead of linear levels … it’d have open-ended spaces to present different and optional objectives.
    A “sandbox” experience, they’re touting …

  10. Pardon me, I’ve been living under a rock lately. Is this a remastered version? It’s very familiar to me.
