Pokemon fans, here is a nice surprise for all of you. The team behind a F2P Pokemon MMO project has released a new beta version of it. Pokemonium is an open source Pokemon MMORPG that is based off of the Pokenet server files. Coded in java this project is being developed by -DefaulT and the community of RaGEZONE, and its latest beta version adds some new features and addresses a number of issues. PokeMMO is a fan-made MMORPG based on the 3rd generation of GameFreak’s popular Pokemon video game franchise. This is basically an emulator that lets you play the Pokemon games online, alongside other people. The emulater requires the Fire Red v1.0 USA ROM and has optional support for HeartGold, SoulSilver ROMS. Naturally, this project is still in early stages and the team behind it plans to add in more regions and custom content a little later down the road.
