These posts have gotten really old. There are literally dozens of videos with 1080p 60fps gameplay and you’re posting screenshots. Slow news day much?
I take it this is the only site you go to for pc gaming… sites like WCCT, guru3d, fudzilla posted the same… I mean really…

Mostly Games Press as they get everything from the PR companies and that’s where the news sites get their info. It seems DSO is like the third link in that chain. They basically skim news sites and repost, but it’s a quick place to come and skim for big stories.
The problem is they also post this kind of drivel as well as rumors from click bait sites like WCCF Tech.
This is why i don’t surf dsogaming more now a days.. i just go for n4g . com always.. and find every news about gaming over there.. but sometimes i also find new information about games here.. which i don’t find at n4g
You could always try not paying attention to things you don’t like. Just because you don’t care for something does not mean it shouldn’t exist. I don’t care for your attitude and yet there it is.
Is a byproduct of the “perpetual outrage” movement that’s become so popular in recent years on University campuses. This mentality of “I don’t like it so it should be banned” is so far removed from what should be acceptable in a free society that it reeks of downright authoritarian state-ism.
A prime example was a few weeks ago at Columbia University where they had planned to have a showing of the movie American Sniper, but because a couple hundred Muslim students complained, saying the movie was Islamophobic, Racist, etc… and they wouldn’t be held responsible if it triggered them going Jihad on campus. The hilarious thing was how they replaced the movie with the new Paddington Bear film just to mock them. LoL. If someone is so sensitive that a movie may cause them to go ballistic, they should be put in a rubber room in a straight jacket.
I wouldn’t mind to be in rubber room with 2 lesbians,1liter of lube and a handcuffs 🙂

Nobody’s saying that it shouldn’t ‘exist’ Guy is just criticizing the daily screenshot spamming of the game in DSOG. Is there anything wrong with that? Or are you one of those that ‘think’ criticizing = hate?
Did you guys get a copy in advance to test out?
I was harsh on some prior screenshots. So for balance, I’ll say these are looking very nice. The grass isn’t terrible in these shots either. I’ll be getting the game right away of course because CDPR are one of the few developers very much worth supporting. If Witcher 3 improves as much as Witcher 2 improved over Witcher 1, then Witcher 3 will be amazing. Confused yet?
either those screenshots are from Console version or PC version in mediam setting… the grass looks really ugly….
The second screenshot in the first row looks very similar to those initial screenshots and has the same atmosphere, quiet impressive but haters will still complain…
On the other hand we also have a long interview from Damien Monnier (Senior Gameplay Designer) on official TW3 forum packed with tons of new information. He also answered two of my questions (quiet honored). Don’t know why it’s still not posted here.

Everyone says there was a downgrade, what originals are you talking about?
The game was downgraded long time ago. At least that is mho.
And to put things straight i was talking about the pictures released every day. Just like watch dog. Leave the downgrade alone.
But the first guy talking abiut downgrade was the dev team director. Cant find the quote now, but he said that the team was not big enough to develop 3 differents games for each platform. The means of that is pretty clear. At least for me
What did the game look like originally before the downgrade? Can you show me the link for a video or a picture? Just like to see some sources.
The drama some of you are doing is beyond comprehension…
The ‘drama’ is actually created by fanboys refusing to acknowledge the downgrade. I personally think it looks good either way, but the downgrade IS there, unless you’re blind or something.
In one of the initial interviews when the game was barely shown on consoles, John Mamais told that they are using GTX Titan for reviews and trailers and that was the time when game was totally unoptimized. Now it requires a GTX 980 even after being fully optimized so how the hell it is downgraded when requirements actually went up ?
Some of you are just cherry picking 2 – 3 screenshots from initial builds that were in experimental stage with that God awful sharpness filter. You don’t even know what features were implemented in those builds and what was absent so who is blindly jumping on downgrade wagon ? If you’re really that interested in that sharpness filter then apply crazy amount of LumaSharpen filter with SweetFX and it look like those initial screenshots.
As for the lighting, they made some adjustments in order to bring in new stuff like interactive foliage that reacts to movements/weather conditions etc which was costly even on PCs so how it’s a downgrade ? It’s the first game that asks for a GTX 980 for ultra settings with Batman AK being second and you still want it more demanding…. Seriously man check your facts please….

Now I don’t know the exact number of screenshot comparisons out there but I’m fairly certain there’s more than ‘2 or 3’
I couldn’t care less what Mamais says, he’s an Executive Producer after all, his job is to sell as many copies of the game as possible.
I wonder how do you know exactly what filters (if any at all) where applied at any given time. Oh wait, you don’t.
What? Who wants it ‘more demanding’? I and others are just pointing out the fact that the game doesn’t look AS good as the first showings, isn’t that weird? The game should actually look better as time passes and CDPR finishes polishing it, not the other way around, right? Dude we’ve seen this a million times, the marketing guys artificially souped up some screens and vids so sheep would hop on the hype train and in the end, for whatever reasons (probably consoles, though) the devs couldn’t quite reach that bar (rarely any dev ever does) but they came close. End of story, not a huge deal. What is a huge deal, at least for me, is the scores of retarded fanboys coming out of the woodwork to fiercely defend a… videogame.

If you don’t believe anyone then how are you supposed to discuss anything ? right now all I see is people using random screenshots to make claims of downgrade, those screenshots don’t even have same time of day, same lighting conditions etc. We will be in much better position of claiming something when the game comes out and we see each and every thing (including settings) with our own eyes.
I am not running from the fact that some features might have been toned down but is it really a “downgrade” ? the meaning of that word is when you try to achieve visual parity with consoles, something that happened with DarkSouls 2 but in case of TW3 it’s already very demanding on PC and something tells me that even a single 980 won’t be enough in final game once you touch settings like PhysX, HairWorks and MSAA so what we really want ? a recommendation of 980 SLI or say Titan X ? making it more beautiful than what it is right now will make it more demanding.
Also it’s very inconsistent right now with some screenshots looking impressive while others just average, I have seen people who bash it for downgrade praising it in some screenshots saying that it came quite close to those initial looks so how will you explain that ? Anyway the game is gone gold now so any bashing or praising won’t change anything so how about we find out everything on 19th May.

They actually did go to several houses in Germany (in the form of threatening legal documents) in 2011 directly demanding over 1000 USD in compensation for allegedly pirating Witcher 2. This coming from a guy, the CDP CEO, a proven former pirate and warez distributor.
