CD Projekt RED has released four brand new 4K screenshots for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. These new images come from the PC version, and one of them – most probably – shows off NVIDIA’s Hairworks. The Witcher 3 releases this May. Be warned that each one of the following images is over 10MB in size. Enjoy!

Screen 1 and 3 is from old renderer (Witcher 2’s renderer running on DX 9 that they used before E3 reveal). Using them makes no sense.
Is it just me or does that NVIDIA Hairworks make the wolves fur actually look less realistic? It seems too exaggerated of an effect.
I don’t think they’re normal wolves, I saw someone on another forum who said fluffy white wolves were monsters in one of the books.
Artic wolves do have much more fur than regular wolves. I got stunned for a moment, they look very real. But like randir14 said they could be one of the monsters from the books.
while the look good , as in almost every games , the eyes let us down. just look at the wolves eyes( the ist one looks like it is gonna break into a disney song)
otherwise well and good
Well something has to be fantasy 😉
Those are still images; they probably look realistic in motion.
In some scenes the game comes very close to achieving 2013 like quality. Overall it looks epic. Can’t wait.
What the hell is wrong with you people, “2013” quality, who in their right minds thinks the game looked great in 2013. It looked like a modified Witcher 2 and really that’s what it was
Calm down kiddo.
Solid argument there
and the rig needed to run it? 2x 295×2? a titan x sli? or 980 3 way?
lol
According to GameStar hands on, a single GTX 980 + i7 4790k with (8 or 16 GB Ram I forgot) is needed to keep the game at almost 60 fps at ultra/1080p though that build might be older so the final build could end up being more demanding or less demanding, I have a pair of GTX 980 so I hope that I am ready for ultra/1440p 😀
i knew a 980 was for 1080p, i was thinking about 4k…
No clue about 4k requirements, I will certainly try it with DSR using my SLI GTX 980s.
The Witcher 3 so called “downgrade” will still have the best graphics in the history of any RPG game ever made.
The Wild Hunt really IS looking great. Proud of having pre-ordered the game already.
