The Sims Project Rene

The Sims 5 Pre-Alpha screenshots have been leaked online

Last month, a pre-alpha build for The Sims 5 was leaked online. And today, the first screenshots from it have appeared online. However, these are off-camera screenshots, so don’t expect much from them.

From what we know, the new The Sims game will stay true to what The Sims has always been while pushing to evolve how those Sims think and behave.

As EA and Maxis have stated:

“The Sims 5/Project Rene will reimagine The Sims with even more ways to play, tools to encourage creativity, and the ability to tell meaningful stories. With Project Rene, players will have the choice to play solo or collaborate with others, and will have the ability to play their game across supported devices.”

There is currently no ETA on when The Sims 5 will release. Do also note that we are using the name “The Sims 5” loosely here. After all, EA has not officially titled this game yet.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. I saw a female streamer decorating rooms in the Sims. Meanwhile, the actual real-life room she was streaming from looked like a mess. Priorities.

  2. People are talking about the graphics like they think it’s gonna be released like this? The game is in PRE-ALPHA. This game isnt finished. Why are people sh*ting on graphics when the game isn’t even gold yet???

    1. It seems like you missed the last 7 years of leaks, betas, demos and games releases. Nothing much will improve from this, especially not with the release now, fix later mentality developers sport.

    2. All you have to do is read through the other comments and you’ll see these are not the brightest crayons in the box.

      1. Look closely at those images and tell me what else could change? A phone capturing images on a monitor is probably not doing it any favours, but they look like finished work to me (the assets are all detailed and optimised). Only the trees in the last two images seem to be placeholders (I hope), and it needs a better Anti-Aliasing. Graphics doesn’t matter for a casual sim like this anyway, however, it detracts from the need of a sequel.

  3. Made by the modern audience, for the modern audience.
Likely filled with micro transactions and other shat.
Will likely include 1984-communistic approaches as surveillance & censorship of all user communications.
Even better: It would not surprise me they do it like Actishat and force people to verify with a mobile number (which disabled anonymity and privacy).
Next step: Force digital ID verification. Klaus Schwab approves.

That sh*t gonna end like in China, were children and teenagers gaming playtimes are surveilled and restricted, since they have to login via digital ID.

  4. John you gotta explain now why you pre-censor comments?
Because of “sh*t”? This survey last month was a farce, right?

    1. We’ve said multiple times that we censor specific words due to Google. If you don’t like that, use Patreon to support us so we can remove the ads once we hit our goal. I also see that you created your account 13 days ago, so be glad I haven’t banned it for creating a dupe account.

      1. Be glad that I spent my time interacting with your website, which is one of the reasons why people visit it in the first place.
Stupid snooty behavior boasting with censorship.

Alright, then please show me where and give me a exact list that contains all words.
        Right now it is:

        – ?ss
        – shÍt
        – bÍtch
        What else?

If you don’t give a list, making a secret out of it, you simply shot yourself in the foot.

  5. With the new generation thinking they’ll never own a home, I bet this game will have a bright future. The disappearing middle class will live a life of misery, but at least it’ll live the American dream in a virtual world.
In a way, the Matrix is already here.
Yeah, this comment is 20 years late, actually.
