Bethesda has released three new screenshots for The Evil Within 2. Developed by Tango Gameworks and created by Shinji Mikami, The Evil Within 2 promises to take the acclaimed franchise to a new level with its unique blend of psychological thrills and true survival horror.
In The Evil Within 2 you take the role of Detective Sebastian Castellanos who is given a chance to save his daughter. Players must enter a world filled with nightmares and discover the dark origins of a once-idyllic town to bring her back. Players will be able to head on with weapons and traps, or sneak through the shadows to survive.
The Evil Within 2 is currently planned for an October 13th release.
Enjoy!

Lots and lots of chromatic aberration going on there.
Sounds racist.
It does, doesn’t it? 😛
Hopefully, a simple on/off option in the game menus will make me say no to racism. 🙂
hmmm. If we can convince devs that chromatic aberration is somehow racist we might finally be free from that crap forever, after all, they’ve bought crazier claims of racism before.
lots and lots of headaches…
Looks promising. cant wait for friday 13 realease.
Same, I loved the first one. I can’t wait!
I hope they use the same engine like doom
yes is idtech 6
Only an idiot would use idTech 5 (or any variation of it) at this point in time.
monsters in screenshot feel like products of a blender tutorial on how to make a scary monster in 5 minutes, glowing red eyes?seriously?is the audience target 12 year old teens?i give japanese game developers lot of crap but when it comes to horror, no one can top their authentic design and atmospheric charm
lmao this game is made by japanese developers no? I expect this game to be a action adventure game, nothing else and thats good to me
first title was, this one feels like dead space 3
This IS a japanese game.
no a western studio is making the sequel and they just kept the original japanese guy around so that greasy teens like you wouldn’t cry, his studio has nothing to do with sequel
That ghost lady in the hallway looks scarier than anything in EW1
as if your opinion matters and you’d know a difference between 100 hours work and 5 minutes work design
Are you dumb? Tango Gameworks is a western studio headed by Shinji Mikami. It was ALWAYS a western studio headed by Shinji Mikami.
no greasy autistic dumb teen, it was funded by a western publisher but employees were his main team, if your parents don’t tell you to watch your mouth and not to be a capslock warrior little fellow, i don’t think they’re fit for parenting, have you tried calling child support?
I’m not a teen. But judging by the way you insult people around, it seems you have the mind of one. A bullied one.
duck avatar, into gaming, capslock warrior, talking about bullying in school, yep, definitely not a teenager lmao
with each generation average iq of these kids is decreasing
TEW was made by Residen Evil’s original designer. Did you play the first one? It takes a bit to get into but it was a pretty good survival horror game, and fairly original in design
yes
Did the original warrant a sequel? It seemed like it came and went without much fanfare.
Ignorance.
Stupidity
I mean I heard next to nothing about it and it didn’t seem like it sold well at all. I’ve never played it. If it’s awesome I may pick it up during the next Steam sale.
For some reason “Obscura” on the camera-monster is spelled in Russian.
