We’ve already covered Resident Evil 4 HD Project but let us tell you that this project deserves all the coverage it’s been getting. Albert has released a new set of comparison screenshots between the vanilla and the modded versions of Resident Evil 4.
Resident Evil 4 HD Project is a mod for Resident Evil 4 that aims to fix a number of 3D issues and upgrade its textures. The team – Albert and Chris – has done an amazing job.
According to Albert, only there are only five more rooms to reach the end on the main game, so we might get a new version of this Texture Pack very soon.
Enjoy the screenshots and stay tuned for more!

Really enjoy seeing retextures of PS2/gamecube era games since the upgrades are significantly noticeable. Wonder what other games from that era could be retextured though.
This looks soo cool !
This has the potential to be the greatest mod ever.
Or, one of them, at the very least, definitely.
or a good case of vaporware.
and the largest
5 more rooms oh boy LETS GO
and i guess they have to improve the guns since those are still untouched right
yeah, i think they need to change them a bit, since they look already good compared to rest of the screen
never ending “work in progress”…
im sure they have other thing to do and this is not their job, be thankful even these images exist
i know that i am
It’s not like there isn’t any progress done , it just done slowly because their job is perfect and the team is small.
I like how faithful these guys are to the original vision. Unlike most remasters(Bioshock) which instead sh*t on the original games vision.
It’s evident they really love RE4.
I suppose they wouldn’t spend this long on this remaster if they didn’t though 🙂
some games like this really need to be immortalized like this
LOOKS SO SHT ALSO NO DX 12 OR WINDOWS STORE
I CAN’T EVEN PLAY ON MY XBOX
I get what you’re doing here… Very mature.
Is this mod ever coming out? This is the like 7th or 8th time I’ve seen DSO gaming cover this.
“According to Albert, only there are only five more rooms to reach the end on the main game,”
Looking at the progress summary id say 5 rooms to finish the castle part, the island has a lot to go.
Obviously looks better than the original but ‘absolutely stunning’ no you are seriously exaggerating.
” there are only five more rooms to reach the end on the main game, so we might get a new version of this Texture Pack very soon.”
This is VERY wishful thinking… There are only 5 sections left that they haven’t yet started! In the ENTIRE last section of the game not even 1 section has been completed yet! They have been at this for 2.3 years now (I am not complaining just trying to add a little common sense here) and only 1/2 of the Mod is complete. I would say we have AT LEAST another year to go before their excellent work is completed. Not “very soon”. Now if they decide to release the 2nd Zone like they did with the first zone then that mat come before the end of 2017… But only if. If they wait to release the entire Mod then end of 2017 early 2018 will be more likely…
