A new set of beautiful screenshots from the closed beta phase of Battlefield 1 have surfaced. These images were captured in Spectator mode and showcase the amazing visuals of the game. Battlefield 1 is powered by the Frostbite 3 Engine and promises to feature more destructible environments than before. Enjoy the screenshots after the jump!

I am playing the closed Apple and can tell you that it looks amazing, even better in motion then these screens showcase. Playing at 1440p mix of high and ultra settings and game is jaw dropping.

Exactly what I thought of. Why is it goddang FPS games in which you don’t have time to marvel at environments, that have such beautiful graphics? 🙁
after Dragon Age is done chances of a Bioware Neverwinter Night successor isn’t low if they want another fantasy series so there is that. it can take a while though…
Ive been within the closed Alpha (apple – haha). I can say that the game is jaw dropping! From them amazing visuals, life-like sounds, and destruction… game is a must by from me (big fan of the BF series in total)!

I also think its safe to say that Frostbite 3 is the best looking engine to date when taking into account how smooth all Frostbite games run AND how good they look. It has been proven on multiple AAA titles and almost all of the games run smooth @60 fps (SWBF, Mirror’s Edge, Dragon Age Inquisition, BF4 etc…)
They could’ve shown those screenshots instead of artworks, they would do very well :D.
But aside of graphics, this game looks like it’s going to be all fluff and no substance.
IN some of those shots…its almost impossible to distinguish between real life and game! Looks AMAZING!

Does anyone else remember how Battlefield 3’s Beta solely showcased just one, single map for the longest of time, until they finally expanded to a second map (Caspian Border) because all the other maps were absolute sh*t?
BF1 Verdun looks (visually) fantastic no doubt, but where’s everything else? >.>
They’ve announced St. Quentin scar (which all the gameplay footage beta/alpha footage has been on so far), Amiens, Monte Grappa, and Empire’s Edge but all of those only have promo images so far
Oh, I thought this was Verdun, my bad….. How the hell did I get that impression >.<
But yeah, name announcements & promo images is all we have of the rest so far. Not exactly comforting in regards to proper objectives layout, etc.

BF games always look really good in screenshots. Ever since BF3 though all these games have been the same. I preferred the old BF games to BF3>.
