Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst has just been released and below you can enjoy some 4K screenshots from it. For this gallery we used the game’s Hyper settings (that are more demanding and offer better visual quality than the Ultra settings). Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst is powered by Frostbite 3 and looks utterly amazing.
For viewing purposes we resized the images to 1080p. Those interested can download the uncompressed 4K screenshots from here.

Beautiful and Sharp!
boring
Looks great. Particularly the AO/Global Illumination being used here. Looks very convincing.
It looks very clean and pretty. I find the artistry impressive.
F’K 4K I want to play this game in VR!
VR would be amazing in this game.
i am playing it Hyper settings 1080p and it look awesome!! Also runs 60 fps all the time on 2500k 3,3ghz GTX 970 G1 GAMING 4GB 12 GB RAM
Um. No you aren’t playing at hyper settings.
The hyper settings are only for cards with lots of vram (Hence why Nvidia said they were made with the help of the gtx 1070 and gtx 1080). The 970 can’t manage 30 fps with the hyper settings because of the 3.5GB vram. Digital Foundry did a video showing the 390 winning against the 970 at hyper settings all because of the 8GB of vram.
You’re playing at ultra even if the settings say hyper because you’ve got the “gpu memory restriction” setting enabled.
Sorry to bust your bubble.
Would have been suprising indeed, the game runs at 60 FPS MOST of the time on a Titan X with all settings at Hyper…
lol my comment upset a few people and they flagged it as spam. Oh the fanboys =]
Seriously? You probably used facts and made sense, that’s why 🙂
You should see Digital Foundry comments, Apparently they are NVIDIA biased paid off for showing the r9 390 beating the GTX 970 in games and just because DF made a mistake, the clueless idiots seem to think DF are paid off by NVIDIA. NVIDIA all along recommended 1080p high for a 60FPS locked, both the GTX 970 and FuryX failed tests on Hyper settings, while the GTX 970 beat the R9 390x on ultra.
LOL, i bet you have GPU memory restriction ticked, which means you actually play with a mix of normal, high and ultra settings, untick it and you are up for a BIG surprise!
Hyper textures with 970 is a 40-50 fps stuttery mess, source: I have mirrors edge and 970. Ultra textures and a mix of hyper-ultra for the rest of the settings give me 60+fps all the time. Mind you, this game is very stressing for the cpu too, i’ve got 2600k @4.5ghz and i think it’s bottlenecking my gpu in a few areas.
tldr: ??????? ???????? ?? gpu memory restriction ?? ????????? ?? ??? ?????? 😀
SLI is a disappointment in this game.
frostbite looks freaking insane !
ubisoft take notes
THIS!!
