Microsoft Flight Simulator new feature

Microsoft Flight Simulator has the best graphics we’ve seen to date, new spectacular screenshots

Microsoft has shared a new set of spectacular screenshots for Flight Simulator that will leave you speechless. Microsoft Flight Simulator has the best PC graphics we’ve seen to date, and the following screenshots will undoubtedly “wow” you.

In these screenshots, Microsoft showcases some of the game’s environments, planes and its Volumetric Clouds. And, to be honest, everything here looks top notch. Seriously, the attention to detail is incredible, From the ground/terrain textures to the amazing sunlight effects, everything looks stunning.

Do note that these screenshots do not have any Ray Tracing effects. What you’re seeing here is pure rasterization is its full glory, proving that there aren’t any diminishing returns for current-gen games. Speaking of RT, last month, IGN hinted that the game may receive some Ray Tracing treatment.

Furthermore, Microsoft is looking into adding VR support to Flight Simulator.

Microsoft Flight Simulator targets a 2020 and is already looking beautiful. Let’s just hope that Microsoft will not downgrade the game’s visuals.

Enjoy!

  1. AW MAN, those look very beautiful! The level of fidelity here is quite something. I can only wish for all the games to have this level of details. Now i know it’s fairly “easier” for this kind of detail to be implemented but still, imagine this level of detail in GTA or RDR or any game that has this kind of view.

    Good stuff

  2. PSA: Remember that Microsoft Flight Simulator is an online streaming video game.

Yes, you will have the option to enable an offline mode and download a lower quality texture set, but it will look far different than the screenshots.

BTW, I can only imagine the telemetry that this thing will suck out of you, given that Microsoft is Microsoft.

  3. It’s downright fascinating zooming in and out, back and forth between damn near photo-realism and blurry, fuzzy video game artifacts. They did an amazing job with the LOD. I can actually believe that this will run okay on existing hardware because they clearly made sacrifices. These aren’t bullshots.

  4. Kind of hard to downgrade something that is properly utilizing the power of their server. Cloud computing does actually work. Funny though as streaming assets for something like this game is obviously going to be a lot easier than that of crackdown. Why I had no hope for that game from the beginning.

This game on the other hand has me totally interested. Anyone down for some Edward forty hands and flying to Tokyo?!?!?

Love me some flight sims and this one looks like the icing on the cake. Only been years since their last as I’ve been wondering what’s up with it all.
