Warner Bros was kind enough to provide us with a review code for Mad Max. Below you can view some comparison screenshots between the game’s Low (Normal) and Ultra (Very High) settings.
Do note that on Ultra a High quality DOF effect is enabled, and we strongly suggest avoiding it (unless of course you fancy blurry visuals). Our PC Performance Analysis will be live soon, so stay tuned.
Those interested can purchase Mad Max from GMG via the following button.
Ultra screenshots are on the left whereas Low screenshots are on the right.
As always, we strongly suggest opening the images in new tabs in order to notice the differences easier.
Enjoy!

STEAM FtW
Don’t you guys think that performance/benchmarks matters a lot more than just pretty screenshots?
Honestly…. this doesn’t look that good at all…there isnt a huge difference between ultra and low
Apart from shadows, ambient occlusion, anti aliasing, anisotropic filtering, texture quality, draw distance, yeah I can’t see that much of a difference.
Game runs very well even in Ultra settings. No need for low. š
1440p 60 FPS solid with just one GTX 680 2GB amazing optimized game !
go buy it <3
I bought it. I played what 1-2hours ?. It is a fun game, looks good, plays smooth and doesnt use 356gb vram and 25gpus to run it. We can see that avalanche studios did a good one. The isn’t THAT beautiful but i’ll take it over ANY stuttermess that batman and other gamers are. I got it for 35$ on greenmangaming and couldn’t be happier. People should consider encouraging this developper.
An epic review i found on steam
There was a man named Max he lived in a wastland and was stripped of his wheels with not even a penny to his name
but oddly his game ran like silk and 60fps and his game was complete.
There was a man named Bruce he was a billionaire with a tank and a jet he lived in modern times
but oddly his game was a giant turd with a 34.99 season pass and was capped at 30fps.
Go figure.

well this game is a turd and it’s publisher is worst.
almost same
Besides the texture resolution and Ambient Occlusion, I really can’t tell much of a difference.
I find it funny how a lot of games tend to look nearly the same way on low. Trying putting the gfx on low for World of Warcraft, Battlefield 2 and FarCry 1 (a few examples). Those games might start looking like sh*t, but it sure will give you a nice fps boost. By nice i mean around 150-250, depending on the game and tweaks.
Low gfx is the new medium..It feels like people aint including the real low gfx option anymore. The one that makes the game look like a N64 game.
GTA5 is a good example. By tweaking it, you can make it run 500 times smoother, but it will look horrible. You cant do that from the options, you gotta use the config.. Why? WHY? FFS.
P.s. My work PC is sh*t, but that doesnt mean i dont wanna play games on it every now and then during breaks.
