Deep Silver has released a new set of screenshots for its upcoming first-person zombie game, Dead Island 2. These screenshots should give you an idea of the game’s visual art style. Naturally, though, they do not represent the quality of the final product as they are pre-release screenshots.
Dead Island 2 is a first-person action RPG with a unique formula of horror, dark humor and over the top zombie-slaying. The game will take players across the most iconic locations of the City of Angels.
Players will explore an iconic, gore-drenched Los Angeles flooded with zombie infection. Furthermore, they will slay countless foes in exquisitely bloody detail, and evolve to become the ultimate Zombie Slayer.
Dead Island 2 will come out on April 28th, and will release exclusively on Epic Games Store. After all, the game is using Unreal Engine 4. Furthermore, Deep Silver has not revealed yet the game’s PC system requirements.
Enjoy!

Meh, i don’t care about there cherry picked screenshots, they abandoned dead island definitive editions, those games ended up with loads more bugs than the originals, and they didnt bother to fix any of them and now they want people to buy there next game after so many delays/drama, pfft, no thanks
Oh, your character is Blade Runner, how original…
I was looking forward to this game until I realized it wouldn’t be out for most of us till April 28th 2024.
Why is there some weird pixelated effect on the zombies’ skin?
The playable characters being quirky and obnoxious just kills it for me.
I have to say, I just don’t understand why we can’t have “normal” characters like in the 80s anymore. And not just in this game.
Why can’t we have somebody like Delta Force’s Chuck Norris or something?
Or, I don’t know, a guy like Matrix in the movie Commando…
Or how about a martial artist like Cynthia Rothrock?
I mean, people I can IDENTIFY with, damn it!
I can imagine hundreds of different types of characters I’d like to play in a zombie survival game, and NONE of them are ever considered by developers.
Instead of memorable charismatic characters, nowadays they give us weird-looking edgy non-binary freaks which are supposed to… represent us?
Mixed people entirely covered with tattoos, fat lesbians, failed scientific experiments whose gender can’t even be identified… lol
I’ve never felt that disconnected from gaming characters, frankly.
Even Japanese fighting games have more relatable characters.
Either developers are clueless, or I’m the one who just don’t get it.

Hell, how about a cop like John McLane?
Even Linda Hamilton in Terminator had a nice survival look which would fit well in such games, although I thought she already turned ugly at that time.
I mean, people I can IDENTIFY with, damn it!
And people who have at the very least an interesting background.
What is even the background of those characters?

Personally, I’ve been begging for an Axel Foley type character but that’s not gonna happen. But we need his 2 unintended sidekicks as well, Detective Billy Rosewood and Sergeant John Taggart. I’d play the hell out of that game.
Very boring “hipster” character designs here.
