Rockstar has released a new set of screenshots from the current-gen version of Grand Theft Auto V. The company has also detailed some exclusive content for those that got the game on old-gen consoles and are planning on picking up the new versions. Which is obviously irrelevant to pretty much all PC gamers. Still, you can check and read more about this new content (that will come exclusively to these players) on Rockstar’s official website. Enjoy the screenshots after the jump!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. Meh….
After 3 years of waiting for this game to come to PC and being treated like second class during that time, I now say to helll with this game and Rockstar. Rockstar = greedy console money whore$.
Another bunch of “screenshots”. I wonder how many current gens you would need to chain in parallel to achieve screenshots with that amount of antialiasing (or most likely supersampling)
That has always been the case ever since GTA3 back in 2001/2. The PC version comes out atleast 6-8 (or more months) after console release.
There’s one major difference between past GTA PC releases and V, though. All past PC releases have been direct consoles ports with the porting process not beginning until after the console versions were released, that was the reason for the 6 – 9 month delays.
This is not the case with GTA V PC and there was no reason to delay it this time, since the PC version is the foundation for the so called “next-gen” versions and was developed in tandem with the last gen versions and well before the existence of the new consoles.
The PS4/XB1 versions are direct ports of the PC version, which, for your information (the PC version) has been fully finished for over 9 months now and would have been out long ago were it not for these new consoles and Rockstar’s continual greed and disrespect towards the PC community.
Before you ask, “where’s the proof” for my claims, do some quick research on GTAforums, look up Albert Pikes posts, S1LV3R_W0LF’s posts and a few others there. All of this is well documented and was discovered over a year ago.
Yeah.First was PC version and after some months they make that version to work for x86 consoles.
But they greedy, and they still bet on this obsolete “next-gen” consoles.because they get money from both M$$$ and Sony.
The “next-gen” consoles dont have so many users(~15mil) like PC gamers (~150-200mil).
So dont buy “next-gen” consoles, the PC version will be great but dont worth to buy from day one. 😀
I can`t frickin wait for this to come out. I tried playing it on ps3 when it was first released and although I could handle the sh*tty resolution I could not handle the sub 30`s framerate. Aside from that the game was some of the most fun Ive had in all my years of gaming. After 5 or 6 missions I had to stop and wait for the non slide show version. If they properly optimize this game I`m gonna be the happiest guy alive.
Optimization will be at Max Payne 3 levels, if not better. There’s no need to worry about it performing terribly on PC this time since the game was developed on PC from the ground up this time around. It’s not a crappy console port like IV was.
Gta5 is huge sandbox so I will never belive it will run like MaxPayne3.
But because gta5 is already optimised on ps4 and xbone, there’s a hope that PC version will run it on similar GPU (like 7870HD) using console settings at constant 30 fps. But for ultra settings + MSAAx4/x8 + 60fps we will need something much better, maybe even SLI 980GTX and 6 core i7.
I also hope, that they will include ps3/xbox360 detail settings :), game would run great even on older hardware
I think you’re a console fanboy ,if you really think you’ll need a 980 sli to run gta V maxed out at 60fps you’re just trolling or plain r3tt4rd3d
Cars still look worse then gta 4’s
Cars in gta 5 looks much better compared to unmoded gta4, but nothing can beat icenchancer mod + car models imported from various games (NFS rivals, project cars, nfs shift 2).
I disagree the slight glint and details just aren’t there even from unmodded gta 4 has much higher poly car models.
Looks so good! I hope it won’t be a GTA 4 lag fest on launch. 🙂
are those taken in low setting or something!!!!
Ill get it on sale if I remember it by then.
Im surprised by that 4th pic. The good old classic sweet looking lens flare.
Nowdays games use that stupid effect of a helmet full of steam reflecting the light or as if your’re looking trhough a wet display.
These shots look fantastic!
After taking so long to release it on the PC theres just no way ill buy it, especially since its going to be GREATLY overshadowed by The Witcher 3
R*… GTFO
not buying but im gonna get it free,,,
you already made billions on consoles and you keep insulting us
