First official screenshots for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

Paradox Interactive has also revealed the first official screenshots for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 via its Steam store page. These screenshots will give you an idea of what you can expect from this new RPG that will be released in 2020.

In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, players will immerse themselves in the World of Darkness and live out their vampire fantasy in a city filled with intriguing characters that react to their choices. According to the game’s description, their unique disciplines are a weapon in their forward-driving, fast-moving, melee-focussed combat system.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be releasing on current-gen platforms and its visuals re-present what most people would expect from a modern-day multi-platform title. Still, its official website lists NVIDIA RTX so this upcoming RPG may receive some real-time ray tracing treatment (nothing has been confirmed yet so this is a mere assumption from our part).

    1. Third person was an option in the original, I think. They may not show it because their third person animations aren’t presentable yet.

      1. You could alternate between the two views, but firearms combat would place you in first person, and melee would be in third. It’s early days yet so I’m not at all surprised that they’re not showing TP View either. ^^

    1. Or wait it for 1 year and play a more polished game. Epic is doing favors to Steam. The Steam releases if you can wait will be more polished.

      1. I’ve been learning about Paradox and it seems waiting for a complete edition will indeed be the way to go

    1. It does. According to “the chart” which shows the three editions, there’s multiple weapon skins for guns and swords, and a trench coat (because Vampire). ^^

  1. whats wrong with that? more money for the game/sequel hopefully. not gonna sell great anyways. might as well have epic give them free money

    1. No, it’s simply cult-classic. Meaning ye whenever you hear about it it’s people saying how its best game ever but reality is that not many people played it. It’s just vocal cult following that makes it look like that everyone played it and everyone loved it.

It’s same thing with Yakuza games, you only ever hear how good those games are. But each entry only sells like 100k copies.

    1. It’s definitely worth playing. It’s a classic imo. Make sure you get the latest Unofficial Patch by Wesp5 though. iirc on GOG it already comes with the patch installed on the game.

    2. the atmosphere is top notch but the combat is trash especially with guns, its extremely buggy and imbalanced and the upgrade system can be summed up as “do as many sidequests as possible to get as many skillpoints to upgrade your underpowered character” The sidequests are not easy “click here to finish” without a walktrough i was unable to finish some of them. Doesnt hold your hand at all. Also the later parts of the game are linear, very linear, like going from level to level to take out all the bosses by using a cab, its like they run out of time and money and said “screw it, this cab driver will teleport you to all the faction bases so you can finish it and tie up lose ends” Also the damn sewer maze levels filled with enemies.

So yeah its worth playing but its a mess.

      1. Did you play it with Wesp5’s Unofficial Patch. I did a replay a couple of years ago and only encountered one bug. A door that wouldn’t open all the way and I had to go through it. I used noclip to get through it.

You have to put points into categories that improve your shooting skill before guns are even worth bothering with. The Tal’Mahe’Ra sword is a very potent weapon especially against other vampires. I usually just put points in the melee skill to upgrade that and use it most of the way through the game.

        1. “did you play it with unofficial patch xyz, i only encountered one major bug despite the fact this game has been patched to death especially by modders so many times and its still a mess”

Yes i did, which is why i say its a mess.
