Last month, we informed you about an RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod for the Half-Life 2 Total Conversion Mod, Entropy: Zero 2. And today, we present you some new screenshots from its latest build.
These screenshots showcase some of the new assets that the modder has created. And while the mod still needs a lot of work, these latest WIP screenshots look really good.
Now the good news here is that you can download the latest beta of this RTX Remix Mod and try it yourselves. C2_1 and C5_1 are broken with the game crashing at launch. On the other hand, C3_1 should be completely playable now. C0 and C1 can also be considered “playable” now, though they do have some bugs.

In January, we shared several RTX Remix Mods that are in the works. As such, you can take a look at screenshots and videos for Tomb Raider 2, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Manhunt, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and Garfield Kart RTX Remix. Speaking of Path Tracing Mods for older titles, you might also want to check out the following ones. Modders have released early demos for their Path Tracing Mods for Tomb Raider, Max Payne and Call of Duty 4. Do note that the COD4 Mod is a “proof of concept” demo, and it does not look that great. On the other hand, the RTX Remix Mod for Max Payne looks amazing (at least in my opinion). Let’s also not forget the RTX Remix for COD: WoW. And then there is this amazing RTX Remix Mod for Need for Speed: Underground 2. Oh, and don’t forget to give a go at this RTX Remix for Unreal Tournament 2004. AMD lost hard. I’m not sure they will ever catch up. Sure, they can slap more VRAM onto their cards, the decade old carrot trick for cultists, but what’s happening innovation-wise?

This was a briliant idea to release this for modders, there aren’t a ton of games that use rt but every card sold new and most used are rt capable for a long time, you got a hammer you want to nail. None of them don’t look too great for the hit tbh, the charm of older games is the relatively simple design and minimalism compared to todays extravaganza games and the fact that you could run it at very high fps up to your screen refresh rate so really fluid gameplay. Fear might be cool but I can’t find anyone who did it so far. Maybe a silent hill game.
