EA DICE’s environment artist, Simon Barle, has been experimenting with Unreal Engine 4 and has recreated Bloodborne’s “Hunter’s Dream” location in Epic Games’ engine. This recreation looks great, so make sure to view the images after the jump. Enjoy!

I have played it and it was good, but hey there is one even better game on the pc and you know the name right. Dark Soul 3 with 60 fps and better graphics. Take that on your ps4 huh 😉

I do the same thing. Just bought Uncharted 4. Thankfully due to the similarities to PC hardware a lot more games are coming on all platforms so those of us with nice PCs can enjoy the best visuals as well as mod support in some games.
This whole PC vs consoles thing is just childish. Pick a platform (or several) that fits your budget and play it on the one you like best or the one that has the game you want if it’s an exclusive. I played Bloodborne on the PS4 and Dark Souls 3 on the PC.
Those pics do look almost spot on, would’ve been nice to see the game on the PC but alas, exclusives are what they are.

30 FPS is a sorry joke in any game….especially if you have ever played at anything higher than sixty. Going to anything less is a serious hinderance in my personal experience.
Go ahead and again explain to me why they have not allowed the much so touted cross platform play…?! Yeah that’s right because PC will massacre your gimped “Locked FPS” experience. They did it back in the day testing Unreal III Tournament on consoles against PC and consoles lost horribly. These were professional gamers (console) going against average joes on a PC and the pros got mopped up like human effluence.
I will continue with my horrid experience on my PC whilst fully knowing what to expect and what I’m paying for….so sad for us PC’ers having to endure such servitude…!
Why is it that you idiots always pick The Last of Us as a shining example of why fixed hardware is a good thing? I hate to break it to you, but that game looked like total dogsh*t compared to PC games of the time even running on budget builds. Stack it up against a game Crysis 3 like Metro Last Light and you’ll see how outdated it looked. Not to mention it also ran consistently below 30 fps on its original PS3 release Even on the PS4, the game suffered from issues like flat lighting and low poly meshes. Speaking of the remaster, that proves a point PC gamers have been making for years: playing games on more powerful hardware gives you a better experience.
As for game complexity, where to even begin. We used to get games like the Star Wars: X-Wing series or Mechwarrior that were actual simulators, and fully utilized nearly the entire keyboard layout. Or games like the Thief series or Stonekeep, where you had an in game map that you had to keep track of and take notes on yourself. Arena shooters went away as console shooters began to become popular, with the upcoming Doom being only a half hearted attempt in that genre because controllers can’t accommodate the fast paced gameplay and on the fly weapon swapping during a real time multi-player firefight. As another example, Deus Ex had very heavy RPG elements, to the point where you couldn’t even aim a weapon properly until you’d invested XP into that weapon. None of that is even getting into how developers dumb down existing PC franchises to pander to the consoles masses, such as Bethesda taking a nuanced and intricate RPG series like Fallout and denigrating it into nothing but a glitchier version of Borderlands or how simplified Bioshock was compared to System Shock.

Once greed (read: Publishers) enter the picture however, everything is destined to go to Multi-Platform Hell sooner or later, with the IP in question ending up as the upteenth Annual IP by the upteenth moron of a Publisher who’ll run the whole thing into the ground, or (even worse in some ways) rebooted in some weird disgusting “mainstream” way that’s designed specifically to appeal to the widest audience range possible in order to maximize profits, damn the quality! – Because that’s EXACTLY what we want.
I agree on the last part however, Consoles definitely did put the entire Video Game Industry into the giant sh*tbucket they’re in right now, so thanks for that.

I agree: past consoles had a very real purpose and moved the industry forward. These days, on the other hand, they serve only to impose limitations. As for me buying the PS4: consoles are a sad reality that aren’t going away anytime soon, and I’m a gamer first and foremost so I’ll buy what I need to in order to play the games that interest me. That doesn’t at all mean I have to like consoles, or not point out ways in which they hold gaming back. And frankly, I don’t care how much doing so offends overly sensitive numskulls like yourself.
I have them all……but yeah they are week underpowered machines that the developers/creators lied to us about. Hence all the BS rumors of more “powerful” systems dropping sooner than later.
If you can not get passed the…..past when it comes to games and their systems then you will never see what dude was saying about consoles holding back true development today……TODAY.!.! If there is nothing one company today that did something right in the past it is only Nintendo as they were the only ones around for the most part… As for today.
